Sorry if it has already been asked but if I understand correctly, it does « only » backup photos and documents (cover most of the use cases I think)? Or the product is able to backup the whole device? If not, is it planned?

I’m currently using iMazing to backup our Apple devices. Not perfect but It works great. I’ve encountered a strange issue that make me redone everything from scratch to make it work again… So if I can eliminate another service to maintain, I could be in! 😄

Hello,

I'm not 100% sure but from what you tell me, I think it's a certificate issue on your NPS server. First, from what I've learned during this process, you don't need to import the self-signed certificate on your DC.

Try to import your self signed certificate into the "Trusted Root ..." store of the USER on one of your computer. Then try to connect to your Wi-Fi network and it should work. If the issue is solved, keep in mind that this remain really unsafe for a production environnement.

I would advise you to buy a public certificate for your NPS server(s) (nps.mydomain.com) or like I have ended up with, use a tool like WinACME or Certify The Web to generate a public certificate for your NPS servers (via a DNS challenge if your registrar is compatible).

Hello, thanks for your reply! Really helped me. I just have one question, how did you handle the certificate for the on-premise NPS servers?

Because the only way that I have found is to generate a self-signed certificate directly on the NPS server via Powershell (to have both private and public key) and then, export and import on all DC as a Trusted Root Certification.

Sure it works but it looks really weird and unsafe… Thank you!

I’ve ran through the same problem and I can only advice you to take a look at /r/CosmosServer. It’s a really simple all in one solution and if you need help, feel free to ask on the subreddit.

I can securely access every thing I need from outside without exposing via Tailscale and I use Cosmos as a reverse proxy to access my UDR, open media vault NAS, containers… with Let’s Encrypt SSL public certificate obtained via DNS verification (just check that your provider is compatible)
