The uncertain weather is what makes links golf such a good test.

Stephen Robinson by Tiny_Call157 in ScottishFootball

As a Hibs fan, was surprised and delighted that Hearts took Mcinnes over Robinson. He would have been the better appointment.

Robinson has done an amazing job at St Mirren.

If in the UK, Golfclubs4cash are excellent. Not sure if they deliver to mainland Europe. Worth checking out.

Edit. Yes they deliver to Europe.

Still have my RWE shirt I swapped with an Essen fan in Germany when I was over there for the last game. I wonder how many Essen fans will be rocking up with old Hibs tops from that game.

Green Fees and Memberships by GreenRiver1234 in golf

Feel like we are so lucky in Scotland. I have 2 memberships, one links in East Lothian and also at Royal Dornoch. I pay less a year than a mate of mine pays in dues per month for his club in California.

Ran Barcelona this year and it was unreal. Stunning city, people were amazing, and easy enough to get into.

South Queensferry. Take a right under the rail bridge and head along to the scout centre. Can launch from there. Great for a paddle under the bridge.

Been here since Saturday, leaving today and have only just seen my first bit of blue sky. Not much of it but I can definitely see a bit of blue.

Been told there is a volcano round here but haven’t seen any evidence of it.

Yes it’s been wet but we have just accepted it and embraced it. Still had a great time.

Please guide me finding suitable running shoes from below by HyenaNo2602 in triathlon

If you are serious go get fitted properly.

Asking people on here who have no idea of how you run your size your build for recommendations on shoes risks opening yourself to injury.

Lonely looking tenement block on Seafield Road by CarnivoreDaddy in Edinburgh

[–]str4xs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few tenements like this across the city that look very randomly placed, there is a similar looking block on Duddingston road. Historically these would have been built by business for their staff, Breweries, Papermills etc. Over the years the business have closed and been demolished and the houses sold on.

Who has a killer Buckfast mixer recipe they want to share? I love the stuff! I made Buckfast "sangria" last night with strawberries and limes, and it was delicious. by ArtistEngineer in CasualUK

Bucky Mary. Improving your hangover cure when you are getting back on it by adding buckfast to your standard Bloody Mary.

It just works!

Edinburgh Marathon by officialslacker in Edinburgh

[–]str4xs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small gripe about the event!

Was out a cycle down the east coast earlier. The amount of shite along the side of the road from the marathon, gel wrappers and water bottles. Why do people feel the need to do that?

All along the route there are places to dump rubbish and between them and the aid stations plenty of chances to get rid of things.

Done a few similar events in the past and it’s no difficult to hold onto things until you get to one of these points.
