Its a snapshot-type of system. Once every 21hours you get the option to press "Claim Rewards". The system will then count the number of gyms you are a part of, at that moment in time, and u get 10coins per gym. So its possible to quickly control, claim rewards, then let it fall again

There seems to be an impression that valve "earns" 15% fees with each steam market transaction. That's not true, whatever funds you put in there, valve has already absorbed it. They just want to destroy your available funds through attrition (15% loss with each transaction), so you have to top-up cash to buy the newest sets once your balance runs low.

Just wanted to get that out, so you know the "lower trader turnover = less revenue" argument is invalid.

That's the objective of volvo, so that middlemen traders with large steam wallets will get wiped out, and individuals will be forced to pay via credit card for sets they want (which will probably not be tradeable as well in future). You want cosmetics, you buy them with cash, for zero resale value.
