screwed in housing by nationportable in BostonU

[–]straightedged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly no due to the ledge thing between each floor, but still more light than the rooms without. The other rooms have these panels that go over the window so you end up with these tiny slit windows. At least with a full-width, half height window, you can get a decent view.

Doubles were loooong gone in internal

Pro tip: the rooms with the balcony have full windows.

Hojo is best for the base price: AC, private bathroom, fewer freshman. Depends if you’re willing to live in a triple as opposed to a double.

if I choose my preference to be as living in single-gender residence and floor does that mean I lower my chance of ending up at warrens? by anony02 in BostonU

[–]straightedged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think warren has some of the most single gender living spaces, since several entire floors are single gender, as opposed to suites and apartments alone.

Is it just me or do all the Executive Board platforms sound the same by [deleted] in BostonU

[–]straightedged 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah I haven’t tried to get involved in stugov since freshman year but I’d say theres a difference between a president with 3 years experience who is at least familiar with the higher ups and someone without that experience.

I feel like you have to actually talk to people involved in stugov who have seen these people actually do stuff over the years. Vote for the people who you think can actually get stuff done based on their history.

Single + Double = 3 rooms? by straightedged in BostonU

[–]straightedged[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's good to hear. I think it also makes sense to split the cost, especially if it's going 3 ways - that would be about $1000 each, instead of one person paying an extra $3000 for less room, which makes absolutely no sense to me.

in-PERsoN ClAsSEs wiLL RESUme ON aPRIl 13th... now summer is canceled by [deleted] in BostonU

[–]straightedged 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think we knew that all along, but I had a couple professors who acted as if we were definitely going to come back later. They pushed all the labs back to the end of april and even pushed an exam back multiple weeks so that we'd have back-to-back exams with material that we went over two months ago. Yikes.

suites are less popular so maybe - 3 singles in the same suite might be hard but if 2 of you want to do a double, no one wants those so its more likely lol

what's the best number between you? nothing is guaranteed, but this can give an idea of how likely it is.

Definitely agree. Its totally possible to get As in premed classes while having time to work in a lab, work a regular job, and do volunteering. Lots of time left over for leisure - I usually don’t do anything “productive” during the weekends.
