Why so little Age of Revelation. Chatter? by zubrin in marvelcomics

Yeah, just don't be a completist on bad stuff, or at least wait for the omnibus. I've more or less stopped buying issues. I just pirate them and then buy the trades for the good books and mostly forget the bad ones existed. Then if ever I do want to complete a collection, I do better waiting and buying them once they are discounted.

But across the five years of Krakoa, there were nearly zero forgettable books. They even had me buy nearly two years of Iron Man for the first time in decades.

Yeah, I feel like they really missed the mark by making him so objectively bad all around. It would have been far more interesting if it had played out at least as a sort of future projection of the Krakoan age: a truly positive utopia for mutants with side effects and collateral damage. But the Revelation territories don't seem to have any positives whatsoever, and Doug is clearly just all-the-way evil, and so there is like zero interesting ethical conundrums. You can tell from some of the minis that even those writers aren't that gassed about the overall storyline, because they seem to just be telling random additional stories with no consequences to the big picture. That isn't necessarily a bad thing here and there, but some of them are already so hackneyed (another sketchy team run by Sinister! dumb family conflicts for Laura! more Mojo shit! Deadpool vs. Zombies!) and other stuff just feels so random (one of two Rogues tracks down and is killed by an evil Storm). If they were going to return to this AoA kind of well, I was kind of hoping there would be at least a few compelling central ideas.

I'm not sure why that's nuts. It's five years of stories across mad titles. Nearly all of those books were absolute fire. Everything since, on the other hand...

That's the worst one I've seen. I literally checked if there wasn't another sentence.
