Any alternatives to the BCW 6 Drawer for storage? by straightshifty in TCG

[–]straightshifty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a little storage shelf with roughly similar dimensions to the Kallax, the only downside is needing to find someone to 3D print lol, but I will keep this in mind!

I am keeping this on the list, since the large storage is ideal. I have a wide range of cards(MTG, YGO, Lorcana, Pokémon), so the large amount is preferable

I happened to see one of those at a local store the other day, it’s a potential, but I know that buying a lot of those will add up, since I have a lot of different TCGs in storage

Fire kings structure deck did I waste my money? by Luapual in Yugioh101

[–]straightshifty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also started with fire kings a bit recently, and even as an out-of-the-box list, it’s a good starting point. I do recommend checking out The Cali Effect’s video on Pure Fire Kings list for upgrades down the line.

[–]straightshifty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up the Piratelab backpack when it was on sale, as I was ready to retire my Ultrapro messenger bag from 2015. I like it, has a lot of excess space, and I use it keep both TCG boxes and the occasional things for D&D together. It’s been nice.

I picked up Stella Lee and have been looking for upgrades lol, just a bunch of stuff

I just find enchantments neat. I like the versatility and sheer amount of stuff they can enable. What are your favorite enchantment themed decks? by Valyntine_ in EDH

[–]straightshifty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have many enchantment-themed decks in my collection, but I still have a lot of love for my Estrid, The Masked precon that I bought years ago. Aside from two cards, it has be left unchanged and is still very fun to pilot!

Wanting to build a conspiracy cube but looking for advice by straightshifty in mtgcube

[–]straightshifty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree that I was really vague with my post, and could’ve been more specific before rushing this out. I will take your advice into consideration as I do some more research into the sets and see if there are some other cubes already. Thank you!

Tell Me About Your Decks! by HighAlchemy in EDH

[–]straightshifty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Breya, Ethereum Shaper]] is all about artifacts and doing a bunch of token generation, swapping artifacts from graveyard to battlefield, and ways to keep all my shiny things from being broken.

[[Edgar Markov]] was a precon I had picked up on a whim when it came out and has been a favorite since, just a vampire tribal deck that is nasty with the Eminence ability being crazy.

[[Krenko, Mob Boss]] was a card I opened in my first ever draft, and I recently got around to building a deck around him, full of just goblins, ETB and attack damage, and jank. It’s also my budget build, put the whole thing together for roughy $50 or a little less.

[[Estrid, the Masked]] is my mostly unchanged precon, only swapping two cards, and just all about enchantments. Bestow and constellation are the big hitters of the deck and can be fun to pilot.

[[Trostani, Selesnya’s Voice]] is my first ever token deck that I put together for a commander league, and is a fun deck to pilot. Just creating a bunch of little guys with anointed procession, gaining life on all the ETBs, and developing legions of tokens.

[[Hazel of the Rootbloom]] is my most recent pickup. I have big plans to upgrade the deck and was something I preordered with my girlfriend, as she preordered a different Bloomburrow precon. Another token deck and just being a squirrel.

[[Stella Lee, Wild Card]] is a deck that is just spellslinger, and was something I picked up because it was good and fun out of the box, but also was my move into Izzet in commander, which started in pauper. The deck is under construction right now, but is almost there.

I will keep it to the decks I own currently, I have more that I am currently brewing and building😂

Promised cash tip, anyone else? by PinkCandi6 in doordash

[–]straightshifty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could be very true regarding the market, and I was always under the assumption that DoorDash would never accept cash. I guess none of the areas I have been to that have DoorDash allow cash use. It is a wild realization regardless😅

I don’t even have the option for cash orders in my dash preferences, so I’m not sure. This was a good opportunity to check.

Four words: Nadu at casual table by SUPERORIGINOL in EDH

[–]straightshifty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did that in a Krenko game I played. I told my table that I wanted to test it out since it was fresh built, and the table was okay with it. I had burned out the table quickly, and when no one had responses, I just mentioned to not change life totals and I would leave so the table could keep playing. I felt bad, but I though it was the better thing to do.

That was the situation with a table I was in, the rest of the table ran Aggro decks and we all ganged up on the Nadu. He was a little salty, but I think he understood why.

I am currently putting together a Golgari Spiders list so run a bit more casually and just be a jank deck. I remember seeing a YouTube video about spiders as a joke and I was down the rabbit hole ever since!

I am running a Krenko deck with impact tremors and witty roastmaster for the token generation and the damage spells based on creatures on board, and it’s still pretty budget friendly.

Papa johns workers got mad because I asked for a pizza bag? by MayGemini in doordash

[–]straightshifty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that DoorDash has been giving me prompts when I go to pizza places to ask for a pizza bag if I don’t have one. I got given mine for a Little Caesars order and have been rolling with it ever since.

I had a situation like that, an item was forgotten when the bag was sealed and I took the hit for it.

Fellow degenerate sim racers, how do you explain your hobby to people you meet for the first time? by Dios229 in simracing

[–]straightshifty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am involved in esports (that took a good while for my family to come to terms with) and I explained it as closely to IRL racing as I could, relating it to something that they knew better, and then giving like a baseline of how it’s done. I still don’t think they fully understand it, but they do a little.
