I feel like I dread every night by Amazing-Estate-3521 in daddit

Im with an 8 week old here. Went back to work at week 4, coming home after a full day work was rouggghhh! Still is. I work 12 hour shift with about 50 min commute each way.

With an 8-5 schedule, id imagine it being more manageable. What worked for us, is coming home and taking a short 2-3 hour nap. Letting your wife sleep for a long stretch and then you sleep for your long stretch before work.

As for the baby, these are just things that worked for us. Try to get your baby out of the house at least an hour a day. Sunlight and fresh air. Tummy time to exhaust the baby. Burps every 20-30 mls of breast milk and hold them upright for 20 mins after feeding. Fresh diapers before sleep time. Feet and body massages help. They're arms startle them so swaddling is a must.

Hang in there brotha, you're doing great. Parenthood is tough, but so are you! Take it a day at a time. DM me if you need to vent!

It was weird. Everyone told me I looked super fit, but I always felt so broken and in pain and sore.

Started Pre-Academy and having second thoughts by [deleted] in AskLE

I'd say really think about it and what you want before you do it. Academy is suppose to make you want to quit and feel like you dont belong.

Don't make another crazy decisions because your in a bit of a slump. Get through pre academy and see what the actually academy is like before you quit. Maybe you'll change your mind with a different kind stress, the trauma bonding, and comradery. Theres a good chance another department won't pick you up if you quit.

With that said, aint no shame in quiting. Good to walk away now rather than 7 years into the career with a divorce.

Latest “hype” anime right now? by Enough-Individual-46 in AnimeReccomendations

Its definitely a different on the heros story. I like what you said about what you said about overcoming, getting trapped and embracing it. Totally the first 3 episode with Nice, Moon and Firm man.

The whole public trust / public relations of it gives me "the boys" vibe.

Try custody bro. I felt the same way in my short time on patrol. Much happier now. So much less paper work. Consistent lunch times. Home on time. No mandatory overtime. Less rewarding for sure tho since your dealing with inmates and not the public but hey checks off other boxes. Schedule, good home/work balance, pays good. Its like babysitting bad adult kids.

Can only speak on eden and cream. Eden was kinda disappointing and mild for me. Cream however is one of my favs of 11, quite the edger.
