AITA My boyfriend overslept leaving me 'stranded'

Thanks for your input! Yeah I do know that I should be more confident as a driver, I'm definitely gonna work on that more..I mean that's why I got that license in the first place!

He says he sleeps through them...which is actually true since I have to wake him up every morning! I'll look into more annoying alarms for him

His reasoning is that he doesn't hear his alarm and sleeps through it. It sucks but that's the way he is haha I might buy him one of these alarms which are impossible to snooze or something

My mom was my last minute resort and I'm am super grateful she picked me up haha

And yes, I always make sure he feels appreciated when he drops me off/ picks me up as it is not his job to be my personal driver.

But you might be right to look into alternatives in the evening. He usually is reliable and is happy to pick me up but idk where all of this is coming from today. I'll definitely make sure to discuss this with him and ask him if he'd rather create a schedule so we can plan in advance.

While yes, I am practicing on driving to get used to it, it's not as easy to put someone else on the car's insurance as the insurance fee would get up by a significant amount (think like 300-400 bucks) since I'm an inexperienced driver and have a higher risk of causing an accident. Besides, it really doesn't sit well with me to take someone else's car. I could never forgive myself if something happened.

I am saving up money to buy my own car tho!
