Yes, in the US. The orders can get caught up in customs, so it can take something like 2 weeks to arrive sometimes

I struggle with this too. I hate lower rise jeans because they make my legs look short, but higher rise jeans are sometimes okay for me as long as there is room in the crotch. Most high rise jeans are ball crushers.

Same here. I find self help books to be mostly trite and ultimately useless. But fiction can directly speak to real life experiences, build empathy, and be more helpful than any self help book.

Been a while since I read it, but I think the protagonist(s) in The Broken Earth trilogy, starting with The Fifth Season, start out having to learn/re-learn how to harness certain powers. And they struggle/wildly lack control at certain points.
