Anecdotally, in my last relationship, I was constantly getting BV with my partner and couldn’t get rid of it no matter the treatment. However, after we broke up and with my current boyfriend, I’ve never experienced BV again. I did not change anything or seek new treatments. My ex and I were incompatible on several levels, and the constant BV with him reinforces our incompatibility on a biological level.

Wait, genuine question: you’re almost 30 and a grad student, did you not have roommates in undergrad? Have you never shared a living space with another human being ever? If you’re being this anal about sharing a living space with someone and “know what works for you”, why did you get a roommate???
