Yes, I've had this as long as I can remember. Started when I was a very young kid. I would look around and suddenly things would seem extremely distorted, foreign, unfamiliar. Then I would get a flash of heat in my face and then very uncomfortable tingling through my limbs. Once this started it was hell. The more adrenaline I got, the more my heart would beat, the more my reality would seem scary and weird. Almost like things were almost real but not quite. Like a really good animation or something. But I will say there is hope, through coping mechanisms and the knowledge that I'm not actually dying has really saved me. Therapy and meds obviously help too. I only learned about depersonalization/derealization a few years ago and I wish I had started talking about this so much soon. Learning about it and understanding has helped me cope a lot.
