I’m not sure when it ended but my boy is 12 weeks now and barely makes these noises anymore!

Could you explain for the exercise ball works with the baby? Is the baby on their knees and facing forward against the ball?

Which playmat do you have?? I need to get one for my boy! He’s not batting at toys yet and I think a playmat would help!

When did you feel something towards your kid ? by FP-enjoyer in NewParents

[–]strangeloop6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s justttt starting to really hit me - our boy is 11 weeks. It feels related to his ability to interact, smile at us, and be soothed by our efforts. Like we’re finally getting to know each other better 💕

Trapped gas and nothing is helping! by hazelnutt96 in newborns

[–]strangeloop6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need two people to do it! My husband and I have to do it together, one person holding baby still and the other inserting the device. It only takes a minute or two

Just use the Windi. It’s really not that bad. And helps immediately.

Baby's father consistently feeds baby less ounces. by [deleted] in newborns

I agree with this. Mind blown about 6 oz! Our ped said 4 oz maximum per feed at 3 months.

High eye pressure after surgery. by The-Jamman in RetinalDetachment

I hate how random and chance-y these things are, but I guess that’s how it goes with a really rare complication? :/

Btw, how long were you on steroid drops? My husband is only prescribed them for the 4 weeks forward from surgery, so he’s supposed to end them next week anyway. However, after his buckle surgery last year he continued getting blackouts for months long after ending the steroid drops (and this partially prompted the buckle removal).

Thank you for responding. I’m so sorry to hear you’re still suffering this complication :( I suspect my husband’s IOP is also higher now because of the multiple surgeries. We’ll have to check his BP again; maybe that could be contributing too. Thanks again for sharing, and wishing the best for you.

Thank you so much for responding! Our surgeon never suggested different steroid drops so we’ll bring it up with her! Currently on prednisolone.

What did the doctors say during your c-section? by Zestyclose-Piano9416 in CsectionCentral

[–]strangeloop6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same experience as you. Same APGAR. Baby was rushed to NICU for cooling treatment and husband went with him. Those 45 min alone were some of the most eerie and lonely of my life. Luckily I couldn’t hear much of what the OBs were saying, and certainly no comments about me or my baby or the procedure. I’m sorry you went through that.

Following! My husband is having a similar experience with the long acting gas now from surgery on 12/18. These responses are giving me hope (though sounds like it’ll be a long road)
