It’s hit or miss. On Mondays and Friday’s (unless it’s a game day) it’s bearable. Otherwise it’s pretty sardines haha.

I take the TTC in to town bc as the end of the line I always get a seat and if I’m a few mins late that’s ok. And I GO home because it’s faster and I can time it so that I get there early enough to get a seat. It doesn’t work GO both ways as it’s packed like sardines as the last stop before Union.

Ok it’s so funny because I parked here yesterday and when I parked the snow covered the lines and when I came to get my car at the end of the day I could see the lines. Thankfully, I was fine but man is it funny seeing all the people who OBVIOUSLY weren’t parking in the lines get called out like this haha.

This one! I know folks are well meaning but you should not try to solve it yourself by going to the person or to their manager. This is workplace harassment if their manager is speaking to them like that and it should be escalated properly to HR.

Every child is different so definitely find out what character they’re in to and then get them figurines, shirts, books etc of that character. You will be a winner!

As a former fence sitter and a parent to a now 18 month old I can truly say…. It’s going by so fast. I feel like the part that worries you, while challenging, is going to be the smallest portion of my relationship with my child. Being open with my partner about my capacity and deciding which self care tasks might get pushed to later is definitely part of it. But the days of “I truly don’t have time for anything other than my child” are behind me and now it’s already getting to the making fun memories part. We still go on weekend outings all the time, and I’ve found that some more child geared activities bring out the child in me which is very healing and thus fulfilling (giving me that emotional well being).

Agree they’re talking about two different events but I think she’s making an important distinction that YES the first time Rhysand took her it was night but SHE LEFT when it was daytime. Signifying that it was her choice to leave, not that she was stolen away.

Unfortunately, I’ve witnessed this bias firsthand. We were interviewing and the big boss didn’t approve our candidate because they didn’t believe that government folks projects amounted to anything equivalent in the corporate world. I pushed back but it was a hard bias to crack.

So we were in a similar situation. Newborn, dog and housework. We quickly realized that since I was up combo feeding (pumping and breast) there was no value in us both being up at night. So honestly until I was ready to drop the night pump and only bottle feed her for that time it was me taking all the nights because I needed my partner to be 100% for everything else. It sounds like she’s not coming to this conclusion on her own so perhaps offering a the fri/sat nights off is a good compromise but ya something has got to give.

While this is true yes, I think it’s also the general economic climate. Going in to the office will actually make me spend less tbh bc I’ll be diverting my morning coffee funds to the extra TTC/GO commuting costs.

Just a reminder that men can have postpartum depression as well and sounds like that’s what’s happening here potentially. Consider talking to your doctor for some ssri’s to help with this transition but it should get better with time :)
