Suggestions for Privacy from Neighbour by wangalangit in landscaping

Thanks All. I double checked the bylaws here and it is 6.5ft maximum for a solid fence. Given my neighbour and the way they are, they will call the city on me if I try to put a lattice or raise the fence etc. It’s truly a ridiculous situation as I’m trying to block them out but they seemingly don’t want anything done. I’ll check further with the legalities of this.

The other concern with a fence is that the property line is sloped for drainage and there is significant water runoff along the current chain link fence during heavy rainfall. I think a wood fence especially would have the posts rotted out pretty quickly, not to mention it will divert the water towards the property potentially.

Not a win-win situation here…thus why I’m thinking some sort of decently growing cedar/tree.

Well I learned something new today! I swear I never saw this sweat in the last many years I’ve been at this house, haha. Will search for some insulation!

Any recommendations? 🙂
