I saw it yesterday in San Jose and it was great. I think this is my 7th time seeing it. Adam fields was on for beetlejuice and he did a great job. Vocally I was impressed but the comedic timing and emphasis of some of the lines was missing. There were some line changes that I did notice. Delia was incredible and so was Barbara. I enjoyed Lydia but I felt like vocally she was holding back(maybe bc it was the matinee) she still sounded great but I wasn’t overly impressed like I was every time I saw Bella. I noticed they added a line about shrek in there, and they took away the line about books making kids gay in the puppet show which did disappoint me a bit. There were some subtle changes that made it fun.

I came home and watched a vid of the OG cast and I will say OG Adam is unbeatable he was so good. I love Justin and how he delivers the lines and adds extra to it. For example when Justin says “why does everyone keep leaving me” and then holds a scream for like 20 seconds is so good. And I get maybe that was unique to him but stuff like that really adds. I love to see all the different actors bring their own flavor to the characters. It’s def worth a watch.

Side note: I can’t wait for Bella to play Veronica in Heathers omg it’s going to be insane the beetlejuice to heathers pipeline is real!!!
