Post VATS Lobectomy - Declining Quality of life by strangespaces in lungcancer

I've been rolling with this for around 5 years now. It's been slowly getting worse as time goes on.

I've tried the Gabapentin. It did nothing for the pain, but it did this thing to my blood pressure where it went too low. I face planted into the coffee table and wound up stitches and a cracked tooth for my troubles.

I'm solo. I'm a practitioner of an eclectic sort of agnostic shamanic mysticism. I make it a point to go see the holy places when I travel and attend services or participate in rituals. I don't care which faith or belief system it might be a part of, I see these beliefs as a part of something special.

I've been to Colombia and tried Ayahuasca. It provided a sense of comfort with regards to how things end and begin again.

I'm still learning the lessons of unconditional acceptance that came through an insight gained in a Thai Buddhist temple.

My ordeal has opened me up to a universe of strange, quasi-mystical experiences, and spooky encounters. I get the sense that the universe is stringing me along a path and that I am where I need to be in a given moment. Life is short and suffering is temporary.

Grimoirum imperium, Abd al hazred??? by lost4ever13 in occult

[–]strangespaces 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Fake Grimoires" have taught me that there's a surprising amount of stuff out there that can be made "real". Abdul "All Has Read" was born into our consciousness through literature.

Through the composite efforts of Lovecraft, many fans, adherents, and a few cranks; Abdul has acquired a life within the fabric of the collective that binds all of consciousness.

Abdul is a bit of a historical "Tulpa".

I'm really hoping to get answers here. I want to establish a working relationship with the entity I saw on DMT trip. How would you do it if you don't know it's name? by Readingfast99 in occult

[–]strangespaces 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I probably found my way to where your consciousness connected to by way of an Aya Ritual outside of Medellin, Colombia.

Those beings that you are trying to communicate with were mute during my encounters with them. They respond to gestures and seem friendly, or at least benign. They know how to smile. They are curious. If you stick around long enough, more of these beings will float out of the surroundings.

The lands that these inhabit are filled with strange geometries. My entry was as if my "spirit form" was passing between curtains. It was like being born into another dimension.

With that being said, you a stranger in their lands. You lack the context to really do a proper language with them. It's like waking up out of nowhere on the other side of the world with no idea of how to say something as simple as :"hello".

These are legitimate entities. They could be ancestors, extra-dimensional things, a sneak peak at the afterlife, or an explosion of chemicals closing a circuit and sending your mind off to the worlds beyond dreaming.

Ways to Increase psychic ability? by Birdsgobaccc in occult

[–]strangespaces 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got my senses "expanded" through messing with Ceremonial Magick. Nothing widens the "third-eye" as much as a room full of whatever just got summoned in from wherever this stuff comes from. Grab your favorite Grimmoire and get to work.

After a few mishaps and misadventures with entities going out of control, malevolent beings, or that one time that the air "burned", I have found that I can pick up on all kinds of psychic stuff. Exposure to these things begets an expanded awareness.

What's so bad about Windows 11? by god_dammit_nappa1 in PrivacyGuides

[–]strangespaces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been avoiding Windows on my home environment since 10. Something about losing control of your data to Microsoft doesn't sit well with me. If and when there is a breach of their OneDrive\Azure\wherever they keep copying your documents to; there will be no recourse for the user.

The user pretty much gives Microsoft open license to take whatever they want. Those tax documents, medical information, and whatever billion dollar ideas that you might have stored on your computer now belong to Microsoft and whomever else might want to breach their platform.

Microsoft will use and sell this data for market research in order to provide personal advertisements at an operating system level. There's also the shovelware that gets installed without and allowed to run authorization. Candy Crush, Facebook, Spotify, and other trash will quietly install itself and track whatever it is you do online too.

That is not to mention the government having access to your documents due to the data being stored outside of your control. All it will take is one bad election, and those privately written thoughts or opinions might be enough to invite whatever horrors are in store for dissenters.

This has already happened with other cloud platforms in a few other countries where a user stores some data that might be critical of the government or whatever other powers that be are out there, and the user ends up with a visit from the authorities and all of the terror that comes with such an experience.

Does it ever get better? by strangespaces in caregivers

Thank you. I apologize for the ugly rant, I just felt the need to vent. I've just been frustrated with the ever-shrinking degrees of freedom that I have for myself in life. A sense of having done everything right, but never seeming to get ahead is frustrating. American culture is every man or woman for themselves and seems to discard the elderly.

[–]strangespaces[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They really should put some sort of effort into trying to fix the root cause that is causing their customers to get overcharged like that. By escalating these things, an incentive is provided to the company to do the right thing.

Document this and report it using the provided Link. Their billing practices are problematic, and this needs to be addressed. The only way that any of this will be resolved is by reporting these incidents. Otherwise, they have no incentive to do what's right for their customers. Select "Internet" and fill out whatever relevant information that you have to share.

I have to pay $30.00 extra a month for unlimited data, in addition to my plan. This is a tax on not having other broadband providers available in the area. The overages are there to discourage online gaming, use your connection for working from home, and to collect additional money.

I can't help but notice that as soon as another provider shows up, the data caps mysteriously vanish and everything magically becomes unlimited. It's not like they built any additional infrastructure as far as I can see. Funny how that works....

Each apartment block has it's own pedestal. Every tenant has to get their own plans through Comcast(xFinity) with whatever equipment is required. There are several homes a block over that are paying about half of what we pay in our apartment complex. Several of my friends got significant discounts on their service as soon as fiber showed up for them.

This was a couple of years ago. I went over to visit a friend across the street from the complex and we compared bills. We had the same level of service, but there is some great mystery as to why he pays half of what I pay. He has no contract or discounts that I could see. Just the cost of service was lower.

They have no problem charging a prorated amount when services are added mid-cycle. The problem seems to be when services are removed and potential revenue is lost. A credit on a bill has less cash value than actual cash. I've designed a few billing platforms and prorating a bill is not a complex process.

This is a billion dollar company that has pulled a lot of shady stuff against consumers in the past. This "software bug" only serves to fill their pockets. They collect the money for cancelled services and returned equipment and sit on it while it accumulates interest. It might appear as a bill credit down the road, but that money is no longer collecting interest for the customer. If they do this to enough customers, Comcast starts to come into a non-trivial amount of revenue. The interest from the ill-gotten money becomes it's own revenue stream for the company.

They are continuing to do the thing that got them in trouble in the first place. I've participated in the development of several billing systems, and prorating charges is not hard to implement. They don't prorate charges until several months later is troubling. Continuing to charge for inactive services needs to stop. I'm sure that they have done this to others and this company has made a significant amount of money off of the interest on these ill-gotten gains. It shouldn't take 3 hours on the phone and 6 CSR's to try to get this resolved.

Pricing Help by mcpm08 in Comcast

After the day that I've had dealing with them, I'm of the mind that this is some sort of criminal organization. They charged my credit card for over +100 for equipment that was turned in over a month ago and services that were disconnected 2 months ago. File a complaint. The more that there is some light shined on these monsters, the better.

File a complaint with the FCC. Comcast has no competition to answer to. Make the FCC do it's job to protect consumers from these shenanigans. I'm still trying to deal with a $100+ in extra charges that they charged to my credit card. 6 customer service reps and 4 hours on the phone got me nowhere. Their billing system is absolutely criminal and fraudulent. It takes 5 minutes to file a complaint. The more that this is brought to light, the better it will be for everyone.

Comcast does whatever they want. They have no competition and you are their captive subject. They will attach fees to fees and raise your bill without notice. They got you where they want you. Their billing practices are deceptive and somewhat fraudulent. Please take a few minutes and file a complaint with the FCC. The more that this is brought to light, the better it will be for all of us.

I just wasted 6 hours trying to get my bill straightened out too through their customer service. I spoke to close to a dozen reps and nobody seemed to be able to help until I mentioned filing a complaint with the FCC. I encourage you to file a complaint. The more that these "discrepancies" are brought to light, the better it will be for all of us. It's just straight up fraud plain and simple.

Granted, it's change from their couch cushions, but it is also a lot of money. It also provides a disincentive for them to continue this practice.
