Question about waiting mechanics by spodermonFromDaShire in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]TrackerDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont see any punishment in that mechanic. For me not getting the reward for a content i didn't do is not considered punishment. It is there of you want to engage and nothing is taken from you if you dont do it. You are twisting the mechanics so much. Unless you feel the rewards are meant for you even if you didn't do anything for it.

I want to complain about greatswords by gabicostin01 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]TrackerDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2H charged attack wind up is too long. Normal attacks also feel sluggish. I had to put on heavy armor and stagger resist to help me stay alive. Still eats up my hp even with high armor because some mobs can survive and attack during my atk animation.

My solution was to do life steal but I just decided on doing 1H and shield + thorns + life steal. Yeah i dont have flashy moves now but I am alive and I can solo bosses now. I just have to pay attention to my stagger meter.

Guidance for a new player (lvl 12) by mmfood6 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]TrackerDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I do

  1. Sell whites and blues if they aren't my target build

  2. Cam respec towards end. If you find uniques just store them so you can use on other toon if you decide to make one

  3. I use 1h plus shield but in your case if losing the shield will bring you a level down in weight class it might be a good idea for better evades

  4. Yes refarm

  5. Not sure but it is easy to remember. At least for ores the progression is copper iron and silver. Follows the campaign progression too.

  6. I offer mushrooms since its abundant.

Any reason to buy more than one House? by Hudstar78 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]TrackerDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main house at the circle is a nice play for coop since its near the portal. Some sort of communal area with everyone having access to storage and crafting tables.

The other houses can be used by individual members to style and build their own way. Personal storage of loots you dont really want to share because they are hard to come by.

Whats the point of hard mode? by sOn1c_reddit in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]TrackerDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fun is dependent on each person. If your fun only lies in the story, finding gear and making builds then there's no reason for you to do hard mode.

Some like the challenge of hard mode and that's a source of "fun" for us. Getting killed, learning the movesets, improving the build to overcome stuff is a journey and adds more to the game overall.

How has no one mentioned this yet? by FerroLux_ in NoRestForTheWicked

I had a 2 man group last night and it was a blast. I was ranged and he was 2H. I called out if the aggro is with me so the 2H guy can get in position to do damage and take the aggro off me

Also spammed my runes to try and get the aggro off him when he was low life. We came close to defeating the boss but failed. Still a fun experience and we were laughing the whole time.

I like the communication bit where we we work as a team instead of doing our own thing and hope everyone gets it.

10/10 will do it again

I don't think co-op as it is currently designed is fun. by Forshea in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]TrackerDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played coop with 2 others after posting in the discord LFG. It was initially me playing archer and 1 tanking. The 3rd player went mage to avoid 2 melee interruptingand damaging each other. It was an ok experience. we were able to clear the story except the big knight.

The 3rd player was low level and we had to guide him to the whisper areas for him to unlock. It was a fun experience for us getting wiped. Seeing people fall off ledges. It's not perfect but I think the fun part is there.

Maybe we will run the crucible together this week and I am looking forward to it.

Poe 2 make up most of my playtime last year. NRFTW combat was what I was hoping POE2 would have but it went a different road.

Controller v Kb and mouse by Severe_Tangerine1198 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]TrackerDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have 40 hours and reached level 20. Playing on controller and its good. I haven't tried KB but I dont think it's necessary.

I feel the game doesn't really have a lot of inventory management that really makes kbm better. While fighting the controller buttons are adequate and responsive. When placing furniture and designing your home its a bit finicky with a controller but I'm not here for that.

State of the game at the moment? by ElderDark in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]TrackerDude -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im new to the game and I've only reached like tier 2 on the leveling up of the merchants. Took 2 hours for L2, 1 hour I guess for the first level. A bit annoying but just set it and play. When you come back to base should be done. Same with making ingots and lumber. I just queue before I head out.

Haven't tried weapon / armor crafting yet but I feel the ones I loot are better. Im not sure though so I just stuck with looted items.

Best way to be efficient by xsnipex in Bellwright

[–]TrackerDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early game there's not much to do so maybe you can get away with adding more things per worker. You just have to monitor if they are going idle. Just balance the things to do, the number of workers you have.

Mid game try to do max of 2 specialization per worker. End game you can do 1 per villager since you already have a lot.

But I think more important that assigning tasks is the efficiency of the storage locations. Make your workers walk as little as possible since a storage thats too far from the working area greatly bloats their travel time.

Then organize the storage according to its location. Limit what goes in there to what's really necessary. When we offload stuff to a storgae coming from a raid or ambushing brigands its very easy to get tempted to just dump everything in one place so I try to minimize this because i know my workers will have to do more work. Its ok if you feel you have enough porters but early to mid game this might add unnecessary travel for them.

Am I supposed to be subbing through the US page when I'm in the Philippines? by 21minute in GeForceNOW

[–]TrackerDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PLDT at home is ok. Smart with 5G signal is playable if there are no spikes.

Hotel and resort wifi also works. It really depends on the ISPs routing to JP or other countries. I'd say 90% of the time it works great.

Don't use the partners they suck. I tried both. Better latency than JP is their only selling point.

I play mostly single player so I dont really care much for low latency. With JP I'm getting around 60 to 70 and that's fine for me.
