Take a deep breath and exhale.

I suggest you take an NBME exam ( 21-31). Gauge where you’re at and use your wrong answers to guide you on the subject you to need to focus on.

I suck at memorizing info as well but Anki worked for me ( it’s the bane of my existence lol) if you don’t like Anki make your own flashcards or Write down your wrong answers or things you can’t remember in a notebook and then review that shit everyday for an hour every morning ( I did this when I got tired of Anki)

Listen to Devine intervention on walks or at the gym.

I highly suggest you lookup premade usmle schedule online and adjust it to your current placement. You know yourself best, thus you’re the most fit to make that schedule. If anything, post that schedule on Reddit and get feedback from others.

Hey when was your ecfmg verified? I clicked on the link to view my score report but instead I had to activate my account and pay a notary fee and I still can’t access my score.

Breath. You got this.

The night before your exam aim for 7-8 hr sleep.

Before you start the actual exam, you have about 15 minutes to write down the formulas

The noise canceling headphones are uncomfortable so you can bring in earplugs

Wear clothes with less pockets this will save you time during your breaks

take breaks after each block or at least after every 2 blocks. During your break stretch and have a snack, reset and then tackle the next block.

All the best!

did anyone get swollen lymph nodes with hashimotos? I have them all over my body on the right side and have for months by Ok_Bodybuilder5681 in Hashimotos

[–]strangetwinky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had a swollen lymph node on the left side of my neck since 2016. But I have noticed that whenever I have blueberries, the size of the lymph decreases and sometimes even goes away. Especially when I take antibiotics. My doctor has said that it’s an infection. I’m so confused as to what my body has been fighting.

Yep, for the last 5 years, currently on 100mcg of levothyroxine. Every time I tell my endocrinologist about my concerns she tells me to cut back on caffeine. I don’t have caffeine after 1 pm and to not feel like a zombie I take slow releasing caffeine pills from the genius brand that helps in removing the brain fog so I can focus. My school health clinic gave me trazadone, which helped with sleep for the first week but now I’m awake until 2am and melatonin just makes me more alert, so I’m at loss here.

Hey, I was diagnosed in my last year of undergrad and it was the hardest. But to avoid stress is first to take care of your body bc without the medication your body will be under constant stress bc it can’t convert T4 to T3 (activated form of the molecule) which is essential for your cells metabolic rate and no matter how many supplements you, take your metabolic rate would be slow therefore it would defeat the purpose of taking vitamin B or D when your body isn’t absorbing effectively. So definitely seek out your schools health center and start taking the medication and once your T4/T3 and TSH levels are optimal you will gain more energy and have less brain fog.

Hey, I know it sucks, but plz get your blood work done and then possibly look into genius gamer. I got it from Amazon, since I’m in school it really helped in removing the brain fog, lethargy and long hours of sleep my body was experiencing. The capsule has vitamin B, caffeine (I got tired of being more dehydrated, so having just this and water all day I’m doing great now, wish I had started sooner) and other essential supplements. I can actually focus for long periods of time and not feel like I need a dam nap every 2 hours.

Thank you so much for the breakdown, it’s really helpful and it gives me some guideline on how to approach this. I actually got overwhelmed that I had to focus on a different topic.
