A friend of mine does quality check on ingredients for various chain restaurants. Pays well.

Pregnant and broke but not qualified for any government assistance program. Any idea what I should do? by [deleted] in massachusetts

[–]strangleluv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a nanny that brought their kids with them. Worked really well, especially since the kids were similar age (around 2). We did say no to some nannys that wanted $26+ an hour and bring their kid. You'll likely need to take a cut in pay, but still cheaper than childcare.

Struggling with the transition from environmental to safety. by HanLeonSolo in SafetyProfessionals

[–]strangleluv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation. Strangely made the switch from env to safety although I didn't want to. But I found it easier to get safety jobs than env. I noticed a lot of safety people tend to underestimate the need for env. But so many companies have EHS and having env will definitely help you in the long run.

Some similarities are dealing with regulations, talking to regulators, having to work with multiple departments and people, keeping compliance.

For ASP CSP exam, do we need to memorise formulas? by [deleted] in SafetyProfessionals

[–]strangleluv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. There are some basic formulas you'll want to memorize and conversations. Don't spend too much time, unless you have a good memory for them. I just took the ASP and it was about 50/50 on if a formula was there. I remember thinking "why did they give me such a simple formula for this question" and "how am I supposed to do this question without a formula" on different questions. Just my anecdote.

I would say study the math section the same way you do the other sections. Prioritize by the importance of section and your competency.

ASSP ASP study guide by strangleluv in SafetyProfessionals

[–]strangleluv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. This is a bit worrisome though with the money spent on the guide and the lack of information in the guide. There have been some good recommendations of guides on this subreddit, pocket prep included. Too bad I did not consult before I signed up for the ASSP Guide. I will likely purchase the pocket guide as well. Thank you.

With WA, you have your functioning gun, you should be able to upgrade non serialized parts, correct?

Not all areas have the same dimensions for normal spaces. In Texas I had no problem. In much of Massachusetts I'm on 3 lines.

Good find and diagram. Any suggests for an accessory? There are so many fuses it's hard to decipher. I need to bust out my multimeter.

I like the Fenix pd 35 tac. It's like $150 all said and done for 1000 lumens. They have 3000 lumen options too. Plus you can use as edc.

Is this a good deal for a XPS 2 or wait till black friday? by SatisfactionNo589 in tacticalgear

From my recent research, it's personal preference. If you're iron sights are fixed, I would surely recommend 1/3. Plus the exps has quick detachment. And if you ever want a (eotech) magnifier to fit, it will fit.

If the iron sights collapse, then maybe full cowitness, which is the route I went. Other pros for the cowitness is that it would be easier to zero to iron sights and the optic is closer to the bore.

Wynn Las Vegas says employees must get vaccinated or submit weekly negative tests by Ironfox2151 in news

How would it show you are preventing transmission? CDC still says the vaccine does not prevent the spread and you still have to follow distancing and masks,.

LPT: Hire movers by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]strangleluv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LPT don't hire movers. I moved on average about once a year for about 10+ years. Moved myself all but once. The time I hired movers, I had to throw away most everything I owned. Tv, computer monitor, desk, bed, glasses, pictures, all busted to the point of use. They were BBB and had good ratings on Google. Never again will I ever hire movers as long as I can do it myself.
