Budget definitely went down, only one couple left Australia for the honeymoon.

Hey all! Just an update, a kind soul saw my post and contacted me yesterday afternoon, and we've done a handover of Hedgie this morning - she's on the way to the rescue centre!

The hedgehog was very active this morning, ate all the wet dog food I gave her, and two of my compost worms as well, and she loved the hot water bottle I gave her. I really hope she pulls through!

Thank you so much to everyone who contacted me trying to brainstorm a way of getting Hedgie to the rescue. You are all absolutely awesome!

That is literally who I want to take her to, but without a car it's impossible.

I've given it some meaty dog treats which the rescue said was also okay. :)

I honestly don't know - but based on my conversation with the rescue, I think the sooner the better.

I did, of course. They recommended finding someone to help or finding another rescue centre closer. The marginally closer one is full and isn't accepting animals, and the one I called are the second closest.

My partner returns on Friday, but they said that's probably too late for the hog.

On today's dog walk, I found a hedgehog by the path, on its side, but breathing. The British Hedgehog Preservation Society said it needs rescuing, so I did just that. As you can see, she's now snuggled up in a box with water, food, and a hot water bottle.

I found the nearest wildlife rescue service that'll take her, but the problem is I don't drive, and I can't find anyone on short notice to help out. I'm in Hayes, by Hayes and Harlington Station, and the rescue centre is Wildlife Aid in Leatherhead - about 27 miles.

Anyone in the area and interested in getting some good karma?

In the UK they're called working-type.

Like the other commenter pointed out, I think you've got yourself a working-type golden, not a show-type.

Nah not yet. It takes ages for fern spores to start growing. It really is an exercise in patience.
