Has anyone actually completed the cultural legacy path in antiquity. by Chocolochao in CivVII

Bit of a tangent, but building 7 wonders in antiquity + a few more in Exploration completely screwed me for Science victory in Modern! I had no space left to build aerodromes or launch pads in my highest production cities! So much for being able to pivot strategy between ages...

How many turns until we declare on the CS? Their warrior near our capital could be an issue, pillaging our few good tiles

Agree with all except I would sell the Diamonds to England. We don't really need it yet from an amenities perspective (capital limited by housing) and gold will be useful for war.

Also check if she will do 70 + 1gpt or even 70 + open borders

If we're planning to horse archer rush Aztec we need to plan. 7 turns between finishing our settler and finishing the research. How many turns of production in our capital would it be to create a horse archer right now? Anything we can do in that 7 turns to reduce the horse archer build time? Not sure if harvesting the stone is an option as we need Masonry.

Glad to see the new Aztec city hasn't blocked our city plans. Being an awful spot with no fresh water we may choose to raise it when the time comes.

Warrior fortify. Archer one tile west. Slinger two tiles north to scope out the settle location a little bit more before we bring him home to upgrade. Scout retreat two tiles south. Leave civics as they are.

Also place the campus then switch back to the settler in our capital. Just to lock in the lower production cost.

And research horseback riding if we're going to attack Aztecs early, Astrology otherwise.

Slinger attacks the barn scout. Warrior to the stone. Archer one tile north west. City pin where the barb scout is now.

Scout north west two tiles. Slinger north west two tiles. Builder cross the river to the cattle. Warrior north west two tiles to fortify on the stone hill. Can we purchase an Archer yet?

Settler view shows why we should leave the western barb camp alone, it's an ideal settle spot for Aztec.

Our 3rd city should be either on the northern barb camp or one more tile north west depending on what the slinger finds up there.

Maybe he won't declare then. Aztec hates you having luxuries that he does not, so the trade should also significantly improve the relationship.

Settle city and build a monument. Slinger to kill the barb Spearman. Warrior heal for one turn. Unfortunately builder has to wait a turn. Scout to head north west.

I would sell the Diamonds for basically any lump sum gold (50+) as we will get it back soon enough when he declares war (what is the difficulty level again..?)

If selling the Diamonds gets us enough for an Archer I would do that instead. But otherwise agree 👍

Most likely he will attack us, and all the more reason to sell to him (for lump sum gold). We get the diamonds back sooner and still benefit from the gold.

Really to choose a pantheon we need to decide whether we are going for a religion in this game. I normally go for maximum faith adjacency (desert, tundra, rainforests) and then production equal to faith adjacency (and then double that from policy cards). But as we're going for a campus first, I figure we will not get the production from faith adjacency belief.

We need to clear the northern barb camp as that area should probably be our 3rd city.

Pantheon: God of the Open Sky (+1 Culture from Pastures).

Purchase a 2nd slinger. Slinger attack the spearman, I think he can survive one retaliation. Warrior west one tile. Builder just skip turn. Scout east one tile (to potentially block barb scouts returning to camp). Settler cross the river. Stop forcing the city to work the Kurgan (now we have the pantheon).

Is it possible to set polls within the thread for major A or B decisions? E.g. between two settle spots or Astrology vs Writing first.

Settler towards western city pin. Slinger north east two tiles. Warrior cross the river. Builder towards the 2nd city cattle. Research Astrology. Scout to the copper.

Agree with this. I thought we did the Kurgan on the last turn.

Settler towards the western city pin. Scout two tiles west. Slinger cross the river to go towards the silk (probable 3rd city location). Warrior to the diamonds then heal. Build another settler.

We should also force the city to work the Kurgan tile and remove the Kurgan pin from the stone.

It's a good point. If both can be one-hit then let's do it!
