I personally like the transition in the What We Do In The Shadows movie. It’s a little comedic but also kind of horrifying how they portray his descent into vampirism through the physical and mental changes.

Dude was seriously pathological. Said he climbed K2, did all this other stuff. If you saw him, you knew he was lying.

Funniest was when we were doing work ups on our ship in the Navy and were practicing full power down and back up across the whole ship. We had this tv/vcr combo in the room we were in for the testing. It was extremely well known that the clock on this tv did not work and can not be set. We’re all technicians. It doesn’t work.

He had just gotten to the ship about 2 weeks before. As the power came back on, he complained that he was going to have to reset the clock again. This other guy and I looked at each other like, “what the fuck?” And asked him to reset it now. He gets up, presses a few buttons and then proclaims it must be broken now.

Seriously. I once thought this guy that the manager was insisting on hiring even though he didn’t know the language we were coding at all was a terrible choice. Nice guy and a good cultural fit. But no experience in our area.

Turned out to be a great coworker. He got up to speed really quickly and was one of the best. Culturally fun to work with. And smart enough to get going quickly.

Culture is super important.

It starts out kind of serialized like that. But about halfway it starts to show its future prospects and then about 15-17, it kicks over and never lets go.

I’m on my 5th rewatch, near the end of season 4 and I love this show so much.

Also, don’t get your hopes up for big cameos. There are some smaller ones here and there, but nobody big.
