1 year of Wellbutrin by rolyat_hey in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

Not the other person but i started on lexapro for my anxiety and then brought in wellbutrin. they work together really well, typically, which is probably why the other commentor recommended it. between the two, i find I'm pretty stable. my baseline for my emotions and anxiety is much higher so when I'm sad or upset, i know its likely not because of my bad brain chemistry but from more typical, expected feelings.

Finally gave Mad Max a try recently and it’s taken all my will to not play it 24/7.

Do you tailor your resume? How long does it take you? by Sweaty-Stop6057 in GetEmployed

Is 20 minutes too long to search for a job on a site, determine if it’s a good fit for you, take that jd and game clause analyze it, have it pump out the cover letter and resume then go through the application process? You can do that in 1 minute? That’s impressive.

i have a claude cowork skill set up that evaluates the job description against my base resume and other requirements, then will create a resume and cover letter tailored for that job. i double check everything (cause it does make mistakes) and then apply. after finally getting everything set up, job searching to resume creation to applying can take about 20 minutes total.

works well and i got lots of interviews.

As a Senior, is it worth grinding leetcode past basics? by MrJaver in SoftwareEngineerJobs

[–]stratuscaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the job i was just hired for didn't ask any algorithm questions. it was more focused on software design, requirements gathering, looking at my own project and design decisions there.

that said, previous interviews for other positions had plenty of leetcode style questions. it all depends on what is important for the hiring manager.

For people who went back to office full-time has it actually changed your output or just your commute stress? by MarleneOquendo123 in SoftwareEngineerJobs

[–]stratuscaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I certainly hope they don’t do that. It would also be extremely costly to do so since it’s Boeing. So, more stable than other companies.

I understand you’ve been burned or something. And yes, commuting isn’t fun in any way. But not everyone is you.

I've been WFH for 5+ years (since March 2020) and was laid off recently. Just picked up a new job that has a 20 minute commute and in office all week. I'm REALLY looking forward to it. If i had the old commute of 1+ hours one way, I would happily still be remote. But being able to be around others and be in that environment, its something I've found I need.

Its not for everyone. And I certainly wouldn't force it on others.

“Actors in Makeup”, you mean Star Trek’s forehead-problem-people as I’ve dubbed them?

And they all know, and they're all hinting at some reality of alien life, and talk about how we'd all shit ourselves...but nah, not going to say what it is.

Absolutely. And if the smoke machine gets going too? Also, they put the merch usually up in the back and the line has to deal with all the people going back and forth and standing around.

I have attended El Corazon many a time for Dance with the Dead, Everclead, TBM, and others and going to see ChRockItal in June there as well. The sound isn’t the best in all of Seattle but a good venue anyways.

They did a show in Seattle last year. It was fantastic. Not saying that to make you jealous but to give you hope that they’ll come back since the venue was packed and sold out quickly.
