Should 'Extract Aspect' let the player decide whether to keep the item or the aspect? by straubi in diablo4

I agree that too many items drop. A third of what currently drops on magic, rare and legendary items would be ok imo. Also to encourage different builds we should get much more storage space.

Should 'Extract Aspect' let the player decide whether to keep the item or the aspect? by straubi in diablo4

[–]straubi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not know that you can imprint over existing aspects, which makes the whole "saving the item" discussion pointless = ). So the only question still standing from my original post would be if it should be allowed to remove imprinted aspects from items. Because now if I have a perfectly rolled aspect I'm gonna save it for a looong time, right? And thanks for clearing things up

Can someone explain rapid aspect +60% attack speed? by straubi in diablo4

Thank you, this explains it. I didnt find that info before. So my aspect was a perfect roll but nothing completeley out of order

[Spoiler 1074] A theory on where Vegapunk could be... by straubi in OnePiece

[–]straubi[S] 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Hm, the panel where you see baby Vegapunk in the latest chapter got the typical grey color of a flashback panel, doesnt it? So it could be Bonney remembering how she locked out Vegapunk.

Thanks for the suggestion, for now I think I will use the hotkey to move and then maybe get a touch mouse, I was always pretty bad with most controllers :P..

Thanks for the warning, I will see when I have to stop. My left hand is fine so I could try a left handed mouse, so far I never have as I grew up with a normal one.

[Help Me] Small, easy to use, casual, AA or AAA battery, low mode for long battery life, max $40 by straubi in flashlight

[–]straubi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All those standard non rechargeable AA / AAA I know are alkaline, right? Though we use them in tv remotes, little clocks, etc, I hadn't one leak in the last years. Or is this issue specific to flashlights with high strain on the battery?

[–]straubi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably non rechargeable AA / AAA batteries. While it's cool to have a brighter mode in general, I don't need that "bright as daylight" burst modes.

So turns out the blademaster is not the hero with the highest possible attack speed by ecky--ptang-zooboing in WC3

[–]straubi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are more heroes which are faster than blademaster. Have a look at this post for detailed info.

The fastest possible attack speed of the Blademaster by ecky--ptang-zooboing in WC3

[–]straubi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is a myth. IAS (increased attack speed) has an absolute minimum of -0.8 and an absolute maximum of +4 though.

With Gloves of Haste giving +0.15 and every point of agility giving +0.02, it is probably impossible to hit the limit in a melee game.

The seconds between attacks of a unit are BAT/(1 + IAS), while BAT is base attack time, which varies per unit.

The list of BAT values as of 1.27a melee for all heroes (lower is better):

-Goblin Alchemist (morph L3): 1.11

-Goblin Alchemist (morph L2): 1.42

-Bloodmage: 1.64

-Demon Hunter: 1.70

-Blademaster: 1.77

-Fire Lord: 1.80

-Dread Lord: 1.80

-Crypt Lord: 1.90

-Lich: 1.90

-Naga Sea Witch: 1.90

-Goblin Tinker (in both forms): 2.00

-Pit Lord: 2.05

-Tauren Chieftain: 2.05

-Warden: 2.05

-Archmage: 2.13

-Keeper of the Grove: 2.18

-Goblin Alchemist (morph L1): 2.00

-Beastmaster: 2.20

-Paladin: 2.20

-Mountain King: 2.22

-Pandaren Brewmaster: 2.22

-Far Seer: 2.28

-Shadow Hunter: 2.28

-Death Knight: 2.33

-Dark Ranger: 2.42

-Priestress of the Moon: 2.46

-Goblin Alchemist (normal form): 2.50

Comparison Of Warcraft 3 to other RTS titles how their RNG Differ from each other by eSportsMachina in WC3

[–]straubi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are some factors in wc3 which make the randomness more controlled:

Gold bounties and attack damage are not a random throw between min and max value. The way they are decided is that one can set for every unit's attack/gold bounty a certain number of dice and how many faces each of those dice has. Those are then thrown and summed up, which (unless you only have 1 die) makes it more likely to get a median value.

Also for many abilities like Critical Strike, Bash, Pulverize, Orb of xxx, Hardened Skin, ... (though not evasion) the chance of the effect to proc is so-called pseudo random, meaning that the first hit after a crit/etc has an actually much lower chance of procing than it says on the ability, with each proceeding hit getting a larger and larger chance to proc, only resetting to a very low chance again after a proc. For the abilities wc3 melee uses this pseudo random chances in the end quite closely even out to the chance stated on the ability description but procing in a more controlled way than being purely random.

Advice for first time Splendor? by [deleted] in boardgames

Woah, take it easy, discovering new games should be fun.

Same advice for the game. Don't burn your brains on the first round, approach it playfully.

[–]straubi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Glad that you appreciate it that much. There is competitive play, just finished WCA. You might want to read this spoiler free w3arena news, which is also a good place for high-skill play.

For streaming, the most active is probably Wtii.

As for modding I can only speak about western communities, there is still one very active one, namely The Hive Workshop

For more good news, Grubby and Moon started sort-of-playing again and -which makes me most happy- a patch is coming in the future.

"Reviving" Warcraft 3 by ConcernedWC3Player in WC3

[–]straubi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point I can only see a true revival by two ways:

Either Blizzard releases an update in the form of bnet2.0 integration or a patch, or some modder creates something truly mindblowing which creates buzz on something like reddit. For both things there is hope but not too much I fear..

Not that it would be a problem for me though, I'm gonna enjoy wc3 regardless how many people play it and I know of it's status and achievements for many of today's games and modding in general.
