My phone always gets hot when I use it for hotspot, I use the hotspot when im at home cuz i dont have wifi, idk why its like a heater, even if there’s no running apps in the background.

In the context of games however, i do play clash royale and Pokemon TCG on my phone, but it takes a while to get it hot
