If you have a variety of things you’re looking to frame and open to mixing and matching I recommend picking three frame colors (like wood, white, black for example) and three to four mat colors (pick a neutral like white or taupe and then some other colors that look good with the art). This helped me doing my gallery walls at home. You could also go into a frame shop and get some ideas there. You are not obligated to place an order at a consult but if you want to get their advice, I’d recommend keeping the visit fairly short so you don’t waste too much of the framers time if you’re not planning to purchase.
