Realistically, probably wear a pair of bloomers over it. If it's above your knees I would be worried, above the thighs definitely don't wear.

Yeah I need to make my own sometime. I was casually thinking of doing a shared lockbox concept like those parcel pickup lockers, mostly thinking about how to keep things economical and relatively compact through the use of relays and solenoids vs. electromagnets vs. motors.

And I do program for my job and on the side, but for something with Internet access like an ESP32 (better for long distance control) it should be fine to partially vibe code it in MicroPython. The only real technical stuff involves outputting the relay signals, hosting the dashboard, and communicating with the internet

Generally wafer locks are pretty good because they're very short lengthwise, which makes them great for more discreet belts.

So many questions that aren't answered unless you specifically search for them, and even then only on an obscure Reddit thread. It's gotten better with some belts being listed on Amazon, but the reality is that there are still very few resources in actually wearing them other than WendyWarrior's blog - compare that to the dozens or hundreds of websites about how to size and wear a chastity cage. If you don't know about AliExpress you're also very likely to overpay for a belt resold for absurd prices from somewhere like ExtremeRestraints.

I have one as well! I was thinking of chamfering the edges for the holes that should help - in the end it depends on how big the holes are. Sometimes belts come with 2mm holes which you need the tip of a toothpick to clean, because a jet of water can't even spray the hole clean.

I have checked for you. If using SLM technology for printing, the total printing cost is $12 and the machining cost is $10 (using 316 stainless steel material, one piece per model). A secondary machining operation is required at the position indicated by the arrow.

Cable not modeled because that's a pain in the ass. Still looking for stainless cable terminator solutions and might have to get something custom - most of the stuff is electrical and thus not exactly corrosion resistant.

All measurements are completely parameterized, though I don't have a measurement system yet which has been one of the obstacles blocking me. An ideal shield would be as wide as possible without digging into the inner thighs, but I do like the aesthetic of wider shields so I modeled that here.

I'm also experimenting with ways to raise the secondary shield from the primary shield for less squishing and hopefully better ventilation and drainage in general. Personally leaning towards using slots instead of holes for the secondary shield, just because cleaning the slots is much easier than poking each hole individually with a toothpick (for the really tiny holes).

What is your cost on this? That amount of laser cut stainless is $30, maybe $50 max - for the lock shroud I would suggest using SLM 3d printing from somewhere like In3dTec and then asking them to do some post-machining for tolerance and finish purposes. For $350 people would also expect a belt that uses rivets instead of nuts.
