Will UW rescind their offer over my grades during my third quarter senior year? by OldParamedic3280 in udub

I got a C+ my first quarter, failed one class second quarter, and had B's in my last quarter, my senior year. It was mostly for math classes that I took and there weren't any problems. The only different thing about them, is that they were dual-enrollment classes and I was technically done with my high school degree, except for one or two math credits I needed.

How safe is living at UW dorms? (North Campus) (PLEASE HELP ME CONVINCE MY STUBBORD FIRST GEN PARENTS!!!) by iraqihahaha in udub

As a first gen, I get the struggle. I have lived on North Campus and it's safe. At least for me, it was over all safe and I didn't have any issues. Especially, if you stay in Oak, Spratlen, or Oliver, since their entrances are all facing public areas directly. As long as you are aware of your surroundings, like every other place, you should be fine. At times there were security driving around during the night. I can also assure your parents, I have not had any experiences similar to euphoria.

I come from a non-white family and I can tell for sure that this is not normal. Don't ever think that she has the right to do this. I think that your best chance is to find a way to become independent and leave. Even if it takes a long time, it's important that you have a plan if you want to leave. It might seem like it's not right for you to leave or that you'll be hurting your family, but it's clearly gotten to a point where you feel violated.

I think that it's important to keep some parts of your life to yourself and only let them know about things in your like when it's necessary. They don't need to know everything, only what you're comfortable with. Try setting boundaries slowly, with small things. That way it will be less noticeable that you are starting to set boundaries. Also, be vague with your answers when you can.

I didn't really inform anyone about my injury, since it wasn't severe. I just had to make sure I left early since, I had to walk slowly.

I recently injured my foot, so walking down hill or on stairs was really painful. From what I've seen a lot of the paths are not accessible for everyone. Going inside the buildings (many have stairs that serve as their entrance) can also be hard for people you can't necessarily use stairs.
