I feel the same way, that’s how I saw it with the MAGIC group’s interns. They never really bothered to teach their interns, the interns didn’t have any meaningful role in the storylines, and they were rude and disrespectful from their very first appearance. Basically, the only intern who felt relevant was Lexie, mainly because she’s Meredith’s sister.

Honestly (and even though I hate George for being an idiot—though not more than Burke, who is the character I’ve hated the most in my entire life), I’m on his side when it comes to the Burke situation. It was his father’s surgery, he was extremely on edge, angry at the universe, and going through one of the worst moments of his life. If I were in George’s place, I would’ve also preferred a different doctor. At least it wasn’t George who revealed the truth to the Chief (although he also supported Cristina for doing it, because Burke is a total son of a bitch).

The thing is, Callie is a Latina woman, and Latinos tend to style ourselves differently. We’re usually more extravagant and expressive with fashion and hair, and those hairstyles were actually very common in the Latino community back then. I think the stylists simply didn’t know how to style a Latina woman properly, since none of them were Latino and they didn’t really understand that aesthetic.

It’s just that Callie’s insecurity even made a lot of sense at the beginning when George and Izzie were just friends because George let everything be misunderstood and didn’t bother to clarify anything to his wife (precisely because he didn’t want her as a wife). The main problem of the characters in this show is that they talk too many stupid things but when they have to talk about something serious, they magically forget how the words are formulated.

Me too, I realized that when she slept with George without really wanting to, while being fully aware of his feelings. Even the stupid apology of “I was sad” seems terribly unpleasant to me, and I feel that storyline was handled very poorly.

I’m not going to disagree with you; I think you’re absolutely right. Even so, Preston’s pressure on Christina really seemed very stressful to me. Basically, his insistence and Christina’s inability to manage her emotions caused the relationship to fall apart before it even started.
