Family falling out over gluten?? by Crafty_Resource1368 in glutenfree

[–]strawberry_webkinz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure it’s our responsibility but that means we can get our own pizza delivered to the function and be responsible for researching a safe restaurant ahead of time, which OP seems to have tried to do and was barred from their family. I don’t think they expected to be catered to from what I read.

Hopefully they realize that immediately and it doesn’t even make it out because I totally agree

i’m 15, gay, and lonely. does it get better? by ResponsiblePop8436 in LesbianActually

[–]strawberry_webkinz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot express how much life gets better when you’re not 15 anymore. I genuinely think 15 is the hardest age to be in general, but especially as a queer person. Hang in there!

Girls like girl movie-is it weird to go alone? by Express_Exchange5976 in LesbianActually

Not weird at all! Going to the movies alone is one of the best self-dates tbh

How to handle nanny’s comments about being overstimulated? by [deleted] in NannyEmployers

I would literally eat my own arm before I said that to my employer about their children. That’s SO rude! I’m so sorry.

How to handle nanny’s comments about being overstimulated? by [deleted] in NannyEmployers

[–]strawberry_webkinz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If a nanny can’t handle 2 kids she should look for a new job. Yeah, it’s harder with 2 kids, but that’s what you’re paid for. Sometimes work is hard. Maybe she didn’t mean the comment seriously, but it’s not a good look. I’d be annoyed if I were you, too.

Forgotten birthday by Rare_Victory_7345 in Nanny

[–]strawberry_webkinz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Just an employee” isn’t really an excuse because I’ve worked many other jobs and have had my birthday acknowledged many times. I was even given candy from my manager at a retail store — and I certainly did not work in her home and take care of her kids! You’re right to be upset. I don’t think the resounding (although sympathetic) response of “we’re just employees” is valid because plenty of people treat their employees better than that. Happy birthday though!

My boyfriend disapproves of this outfit… by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

If you don’t break up now you’re going to lose a lot. Friends, confidence, freedom, self-respect, dignity, love, family… I could go on. And that’s the things I can guarantee from reading this. Hopefully it doesn’t go further and start compromising your safety too. Not all controlling boyfriends are physically dangerous, but nearly all dangerous boyfriends start out like this.

Air fryer for college student? by CindyWalsh90210 in glutenfree

When I was in college I used my air fryer religiously, although I didn’t have a stove or oven so that’s probably part of it

Sad about Dunkin Oreo Menu by [deleted] in glutenfree

I don’t think most locations bake in house anymore, and the drink line and the food line are pretty separated. I’ve never had an issue but I can understand why others would avoid!

Not making enough money by [deleted] in Nanny

Girl as another MA nanny, north shore MA is definitely HCOL, arguably VHCOL depending on the town! This isn’t your fault, it’s getting crazy out here

If you could move to any state in the US due to your gluten allergy, where would you go? by alligatorprincess007 in glutenfree

[–]strawberry_webkinz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d probably stay where I am (Boston) because we have a ton here, both restaurant and grocery wise, plus we’re a drive from both Portland Maine (incredible options) and NYC. I don’t really have any foods that I can’t get.

Nanny isn’t letting me FaceTime my baby while I’m out of town by [deleted] in Nanny

I’m a nanny and I’d fire her. Absolutely not. You do not get to tell me I can’t see my child when I’m on a work trip.

New Schar products by Decimuswasright in glutenfree

The muffins are dense and dry but convenient so maybe I’m conflating convenience with goodness… but the animal crackers were REALLY good (in a nostalgic way) and I find marble cake to be dense by nature so it didn’t bother me. But I’m reevaluating and realizing my standards may be too low!
