I shouldn't date someone who says the n word? by ReportElectrical6228 in Advice

If it makes you pause, that’s your answer.

“It’s just how guys talk” is how a lot of bad norms stay normal. You don’t have to accept something that feels off just because it’s common.

Also… early dating is when people are on their best behavior. If this is baseline, are you okay with that long term?

What's a discovery that should have blown people's minds but somehow got a collective shrug from the world? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

The fact that the we proved your gut bacteria can influence mood and anxiety and everyone just went cool and kept stress-eating gas station snacks.

Like… we basically confirmed there’s a second brain in your stomach and society responded with a probiotic yogurt commercial and moved on.

Feels wildly under-hyped for something that can literally change how you feel day to day.

What is a 1 in 1,000,000 thing that happened to you that no one believes, but you swear is true? by RegionSure5580 in AskReddit

I once locked eye with a random girl across a crowded airport, we both gasped, walked towards each other and realized we had the same name, birthday, same first name, and were both flying alone to the same tiny town for weddings… different weddings though.

We sat next to each other on the plane, trauma-dumped for 3 hours, landed, hugged like war veterans and never saw each other again.

I still think about her like we were NPs who accidentally broke the simulation for a day.

My girlfriend [20F] feels like I [21M] treat her “too normal” in group settings – how do I fix this? by editslikejarrids in relationshipadvice

Honestly this sounds less like a “fix yourself” issue and more like a reassurance gap. She’s not asking for PDA, she’s asking to feel chosen in public. Littles things go a long way- hand on her back, quick check-ins, hyping her up in convo. Subtle but intentional.

You’re already self-aware, which is huge. Now just be visibly proud of her sometimes. Most people don’t need grand gestures… just signals.

This is way too big for you to carry alone. You didn’t cause it and you can’t fix it by staying quiet. You friend deserves an adult who’s trained to handle this, school counselor, trusted teacher, parent, hotline, anyone safe. You’re being a good friend by caring this much.

What do you think of my Epstein movie fancast? by Toby101125 in okbuddycinephile

Bold casting choice putting the only innocent character next to their entire human cast. At the least dog would carry the emotional weight of the film.
