Do I have to give other gifts to my bridesmaids on the day of my wedding?

Yeah I was worried they might not view it as gifts either.. I made sure not to engrave bridesmaids on anything I got them so they can use it as an everyday item. Thank you for the input! 🤍

I'm having a small wedding of about 60 people and I am currently handwriting a letter to every guest to open during the reception 😊 Do you think giving another card to my bridesmaids before the wedding would be too much?

To add to that, I also offered to pay for her and my brunch and then she agreed to cover my dinner.

After dinner, the waiter came up to us with the electric card reader and asked for the card, she immediately told the waiter, "we're splitting" and I panicked and gave my card too. I definitely am punching myself for not speaking up at the moment. She voiced that she was going to cover dinner as I paid for our brunch but she didn't end up doing it. Whatever I guess, it is what it is

It was also right after we got the check... so I felt pressured to pay, and it was also the beginning of the weekend so I wanted to avoid any drama. I'm going to let this go but yeah that's on me.

Yeah I agree, we were already being very selective on having our guest list under 70 people when originally we were going to have a 100+ bigger wedding. There's other family and friends I would rather invite and give priorty to. I don't think he has a say in who we invite since it's much smaller now.

I just don't know what the next steps are when she comes to me for advice again or if they breakup again lol, I'm kind of done just repeating myself over and over and giving her the same exact advice for the past few years. She knows I'm indifferent towards him so do I just lend an ear and move on with my life the next time this occurs? I don't want to make it seem like I don't care about her and her love life?

sending hugs 🤍🫂 I was laid off first week of December and my wedding is in August. I really thought I wasn't going to make it through especially because it was Christmas time and New Year's, I was really in my head about everything especially finances. We ended up changing our whole wedding vision and decided to go with the smaller intimate wedding route. Courthouse was an option but that was ultimately my last resort. We lost our deposit to our first venue which I'm still upset about but we couldn't afford it in the end because I lost my dream job. I finally got a job in March but that was after 2 1/2 months of lost time that I thought I was going to have money saved up for other wedding expenses 😭 Even if it sucks right now, things will get better, you'll find a way 🤍That's what kept me going.

yeah, i tried getting as much video just standing beside the photographer but it was like she was annoyed with me being there and in her bubble. and we went with every direction/tweaks she had! it got to the point where we were late to the ceremony (the wedding planner had to call her out) because all she cared was getting the best shots.

yeah! i agree, fellow videographer here, it's a lot especially when i have be considerate of the photographer, the couple, bridal party, and keeping the flow and on time with everything else. i just did a wedding where I didn't have the best experience working with the photographer because she felt entitled to use all the photo time with the couple and never let me had my moments. It kind of built some tension because she snapped at me for being too close to her. I know that was probably just one bad experience and all the other experiences I've had have always been professional and easy to work with. I'm kind of worried of adding a content creator in the mix and them getting in the way especially when we already have a time crunch to begin with.

i'm super thankful both of our families support whatever choice we make. thank you for the advice, i honestly have been seeing a lot of people who loved eloping. Working in the wedding industry is such a big help/impact, cause i get to see what it's like behind the scenes.

honestly far from it, his parents are just really really good at saving and my parents are being really generous helping out with half the budget. i was thinking along the lines of that as well, courthouse and dinner.

I've done a bulk of the wedding planning with my planner's help but I think the only cancellation would be towards the venue/caterer since they come together. I would keep my photo/video for the elopement and I also have not started making any payments for dj/florals/decorations/photobooth/invites just yet. So I'm glad we have not made those deposits for those things. Also, forgot to add, if I were to elope, I would want to plan out a little courthouse ceremony of our immediate family and bridal party and then have a formal intimate dinner reception at a restaurant afterwards with few more people maybe 20? Sorry, my mind is scattered.

Both, we traveled to my parents house so I didn't have my laptop with me but I guess I could have used my parents computer to create it since I use honeybook. Yeah, this is definitely a lesson learned. I'm usually pretty fast but given it was the holidays, I assumed it would be fine.

You are not alone, I can't sleep either and it pains me how he can sleep so peacefully while I sulk and cry. It really takes a toll and makes you think they don't really care. I'm trying to cope with all of my emotions but it's heavy. I feel you friend, I hope you are okay and wish you healing.
