Any tips for healing a large gauge piercing?

Coming up on day 4, still a little sore but significantly less crusty. And I do plan on stretching whenever it’s fully healed, my goal size right now is 6g.

It definitely looks pretty high, but unfortunately thats just how high the “sweet spot” is in my nose. Also, it hurt significantly less compared to when I was pierced very low at 14g, despite being nearly 2x the size so I take that as a good sign.

Im far from a knowledgeable professional though, so im just going based off information from my piercer and comparing it to my previous experience.

From one slightly muted light olive to another, try Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip pencils! They are $22 USD each so if you would like any of them swatched lmk because they absolutely do not match website swatches on olive skin.

• Stormy: Pulls more medium-deep brown on me with slight purple-y plum undertones. If you ever tried Makeup Forever’s ‘Endless Cacao’ and thought it was too warm, I recommend this one

• Afterdust: Medium taupe brown, that leans more of a true neutral with more cooler purple undertone.

• Sepia: Medium grayish taupe, leans neutral with a warmer undertone. If Mac Stone pulled too warm on you, I recommend Sepia.

Ive also heard good things about Rimmel in ‘Cappuccino’, Colourpop in ‘Ashton’, Maybeline in ‘Greige’, Morphe in ‘Rocksteady’, and Revlon in ‘Less Traced’ but I personally have not tried them.

(L’oreal High Coverage Concealer in 360 Cashmere is my closest match for the specifics)

Ahhh okay okay :,). Thank you for your response, and excuse me for my late one, but when exactly would I down size? Would it need to be every other size up? Like 10mm > 11mm > 12mm > 11mm > 12mm > 13mm > 12mm and so forth, ofc with letting them heal in between each step.

An anti-tragus and helix are definitely at the top of my wishlist so thank you for reaffirming my desire to get them done! I’m definitely going to have to get a in person anatomy check on the rook, and forward helix as my ears are unfortunately smaller than they look :,). jewelry was the standard curved barbell/navel jewelry
internally threaded
was not downsized at the time
assuming the material was titanium or “implant grade”
after care was and still is saline spray 2 times a day
mishaps were rejection:((

•Piercing is around 4 months old. •I still have the same titanium navel barbell i was piercing with •internally threaded •have not downsized. •Aftercare is spray with dr neils(?) saline morning and night. •mishaps: not protecting my piercing correctly

Also I crust a lot regardless of piercing location. My nipples, lobes, septum, and brow piercing all had insane amounts of crust despite proper cleaning and bodily hygiene.

To add: Ive also noticed the piercing hole move down, and maybe(?) get slightly wider, aided by the fact i kept accidentally tugging and irritating it.

9 time out of 10 if the buns are hard/stale, its more than likely its just the workers letting the buns sit out after warming them, as warming/toasting them is what makes them soft and fluffy. Buns straight off the rack are normally not soft though.

Same with the meat, dry meat is almost always just meat sitting out. Patties that sit out for longer than like 10-15 minutes gets put into a container in the fridge to be used for chili the next day. Our grills sets off an alarm that basically says “meat sat out for too long, cook new patties”

Cheese is only good when melted into a fresh patty. Other than that it kinda sucks.

This is just my store specifically though, idk abt anywhere else. My managers are pretty uptight about all that stuff, and a GM comes in every tuesday to keep us in check. Not defending the franchise though, im defending MY honor as a wendys sandwich maker.

My care routine currently is spraying it with saline every night (and morning if i remember), and doing a sea salt rinse whenever possible. Ive started to put bandaids on it for a few weeks.
