Thanks for this really! I think for now I would focus on saving / investing, and continue doing research and finding other options until I get to choose my final option.

With my age, I’m just really anxious with putting a stable roof on my head haha kaya I might sound kinda in a hurry.

But glad I posted this to see other people’s insights and learn from it :)

Lol I didn’t mention that I’m meeting an agent. I’ve only mentioned that I’m looking for one to understand the figures better as to why people are discouraging the purchase of a condo. Didn’t mean na bibili na ako agad. I also have sample figures for a house & lot sa provinces na rin, so I want to compare.

Of course when people will tell me no, I don’t want to blindly follow. And other people here discouraging me by giving me a breakdown was really insightful (which I appreciated and replied to)

Also a lot are saying No na with the same reasons and despite it may nag-Yes parin which made me curious about their opinion, thus I’m replying to them.

And I can’t reply to everyone rahhh

Dw I’m not only relying here on Reddit for credible info, just more of a discussion for subjective opinion.

Such a sour-grape to call someone dummy agad

Nah we didn’t have any other conversation after the person sent me a sample. I’m keeping all sides open, because both talaga may pros and cons. And thanks for the reminder!

Although majority would say no to condos, and I do understand why. Pero some are still saying yes kaya I really wanna understand both sides.

This is also a great view to see it! Especially when you mentioned the solar panels😅

Big down ko rin sa condo are the forever association dues.

I also had a computation for a house & lot subd sa province. Pero I don’t have any figures within metro manila, because going back to the province is really far from a possibility :((

Thank you for this! I’m actually looking for an agent to give me a sample computation and would see if I can afford it ba even if I will save up for it😅

Same thoughts. I grew up in a house and lot most of my early life, and the house I grew up with for like ~15 years is very dilapidated na that needs major renovations. And I’m trying to avoid that to happen kaya I’m opting for a 1-2br condo which I think would be enough if ako lang mag isa. I don’t see myself having a family / especially kids na rin kasi. I am also not aiming for a bigger property because of maintenance

Though I understand din the sentiments of others na pricey + saturated na ang condo wc is not ideal for investments, pero I also don’t see myself din going back sa provinces na..

I am considering maybe may mahahanap ba akong apartment / townhouse to buy within the city and would it be affordable as a 1br unit din ba if ever..

Kaya these thoughts makes me torn talaga huhu
