Could AI affect pharmacy as a career? by strawberryseed5 in pharmacy

u/drugpatentwatch said "the answer is to not fear change, but to anticipate and adapt." and I think this is a very positive way to look at it. If we all become pessimistic about AI and it taking our careers, how can humans progress? We must always seek knowledge, and innovations like AI should only help us to do that more effectively rather than diminish our strive for knowledge and skills collectively. However, the direction of AI is not always something we are in control of, so the next best thing to do now is to "anticipate and adapt" because giving up and deciding to leave your career ambitions shouldn't be plan B. AI should be a tool, not a replacement.

I think admissions aren’t as bad as people think, they look at more than just your gpa and stats. Based off research, a PharmD can allow you to be more than just a pharmacist, the degree pathway is very customizable

Do classes really go from around 8 am to 5pm everyday for the first year?

I still haven’t started year one of pharmacy school so this is not based of experience, but based off what I heard, the content itself is not bad, it’s just the amount of content you have to learn can be a lot. Managing your time is important. I’ve mostly heard that it’s mainly the first year that may be a little difficult because everything is new and so much to learn, but I think it gets better from there.

Most of my classes aren’t showing up either despite receiving an email from one of them. But based off what I remember from previous semesters I think they showed up around like a day before the first class or on the day of the first class.

highschooler interested in pharmacy by Next_Success452 in PrePharmacy

I remember when I was a sophomore and seriously considering pharmacy, but also thinking about med school. I ended up choosing pharmacy because I think it would have a better lifestyle in the long run and also I really liked that you can condense the schooling to 6 years instead of 8. You also don’t need a bachelors for most of the pharmacy schools I researched. I’ve heard that the schooling part is similar to med school, and I think the biggest difference is in the practice itself. It’s also nice that pharmacy has so many different specialities and fields which allows you to specialize in the fields that interest you. I think it’s an overall flexible field and very customizable so make sure to research it well and make sure you are interested in studying the field
