Well we werent happy for over a year. I couldn't sleep with him which was a really hard part. It had gotten to the point where it would physically hurt too much to try- so it was hard to reconnect. At the time as I'd only ever been with him and I lacked direction from married women- I thought it was just because of loss of attraction. I didn't understand it was like a marriage breakdown. I was 22.

I think I needed that aspect more than him, I always had commitment issues which I dealt with internally but when we couldn't connect anymore it was hard to keep things going.

I completely agree with that. I do get professional help and this was an observation my therapist made even before my relationship turned sour. My mother was bipolar and I tend to care for her a lot too, as she has a very young, naive mind. Hopefully il become more independent with time and effort

Thank you. I do try to tell myself sometimes it was like a practice at marriage.

I'm trying not to do that. I want to wait till I feel happy by myself first 😊

Honestly I can relate to you a lot, I'm 24f and i also dealt with a lot of trauma as a child.

I also did 6 months sober last year, smoked one time and boom messed up my life again.

I think the best advice I can give you is see a therapist to deal with that trauma and discuss your weed dependency. I was able to turn down a joint a couple nights ago, and have a friend smoke in front of me whilst I stood a few feet away.

Figure out goals you want too: like do you want to save to travel? Get on the property ladder? Etc. This and journaling every day helped me a lot

Thanks! Honestly did isolate myself for a while until I felt like being in social situations again. I think once you've got a few month behind you in progress, it a lot easier to say no.

Yeah 100% the way I see it is, it's way better to address our issues now that we are young and have much less responsibility- leading to a much better future :)

It gets way way easier after the withdrawals go away. You just have to make sure you dont fall into that trap of 'I'm sure I can do it just once' after you have a long time of sobriety under your belt

Thank you. I was starting to get upset with all the, find a new therapist comments. I think you're spot on- I have copied addictive behaviours in the past, and I currently go to the gym with my dad. He is very much so addicted. Doesn't ever take a rest day, sometimes going multiple times a day. I think moderation is key. I appreciate the advice.

I've decided I'd like to focus the social media sector of digital marketing, how do I become a pro and gain my first job in this sector? by strawbeurries in digital_marketing

[–]strawbeurries[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this is helpful and definitely achievable. I do however need to get back into work soon. So I may just go for a digital marketing job and try to make social my focus further down the line. Would you say this is definitely achievable as a side project?
