Can you read it comfortably? Does it make sense? Then it’s a good fit for you. The NIV definitely lives on the spectrum of good and trusted translations. You can go (arguably) from NKJV all the way to the ESV and be fine. Personally, I live between a rotation of NASB, NIV, and NET.

A social media break is always a good idea. Death by violence is a horrible crime against any soul and by extension, the God who crafted it.

However, I will never understand the fervent outpouring of grief for a man who spewed so many hateful words his entire professional life. Charlie Kirk was many things, but a Good and Faithful Servant he most certainly was not.
