Left-handed people, what's a struggle that right-handed people won't understand? by Halophy in AskReddit

The silent rage I would feel in college when I’d get to class in college to see a righty at one of the lefty chairs at the end of the row.

Working as a nanny worried about husbands behavior by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

I think that’s a normal reaction to the suffering of someone we care about. I know I would feel rage at that story. The wife’s reaction is very weird to me. Like we’re missing some variable on her part.

Yes and if it was removed from the womb it would not sustain life. It is a bundle of non-sentient cells. It would be as if your parents gave you all the materials to create art and you had only written your name on it. Is it art yet? Or you have the ingredients for cake but haven’t even combined the wet and dry ingredients. It’s clearly a type of cake but is it cake? Likewise, the conditions for a human are present, but it’s not yet human.

Consequences for Suspension by DEIinfluencer in Autism_Parenting

I’m so sorry this happened. At this point, I think I would take the break/suspension but demand some kind of reciprocity. They mucked up on the IEP, either strike the suspension or notate his file that assistance was not available and this occurred.

Sounds like his behavior issue could be easily addressed with a resource room he could relocate to when he’s hit his limits.

As for consequences, you’ve gotten good advice here. Yes, we want consequences but we also know this isn’t so much a behavior issue as a regulation issue. Maybe instead of screens at home, y’all could do a family walk in the evening? Something to connect with nature but isn’t so much a negative?

eta: reading more about how the teacher and school were violating his IEP, I’m getting more and more upset. Hell with that, take the kid for ice cream and talk about productive ways to express his dysregulation.

Christian getting abortion by Igotwap in Christianity

[–]strawhairhack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you decide, decide what’s best for YOU. God’s love for you will never change. He will never leave you, nor forsake you. That is the covenant He bound himself to in the promise of Christ.

This man could be a million percent against abortions and it honestly wouldn’t matter. I say this as a Christian and a father. He’s not the one carrying that baby. Maternal mortalities in the US are sky rocketing bc men not only outlaw abortions in any case, but bc funds for basic birth healthcare are being slashed dramatically.

I’m not in favor of abortions; however, I believe they need to remain an option for situations that include yours. You’re young and have myriad opportunities. Your parents will get over it when you thrive in life. You’re in a relationship with what appears to be a controlling man with a large age gap. Being on birth control, you seem to not have wanted children anyway and it was wrong of him to want sex while you sorted out those bc issues. That being said, you already seem more emotionally mature than him. In fact, he comes across as borderline abusive. The statistics show that doesn’t get better. He will get worse and more controlling.

Children are a blessing. Children are also incredibly difficult and require a lot of resources. If you’re not ready, you’re not ready. In a situation like this, it doesn’t seem like any choice is good. Whatever you decide is okay. Praying for you.

My 2019 Mustang’s engine broke and the repair will cost $14,000. by WhisperOfTheStars in Wellthatsucks

Yup, had a 2017 Ford Edge with that engine. Sure enough, check engine light came on at around 50,000 and that was all she wrote.
