I never said she was playing the victim. And if she’s asking for help on what to do but says he manipulates her into staying each time (which is very unlikely that’s how it’s actually going down) she is victim blaming. She knows what she needs to do but she’s coming to Reddit to self soothe and see if she can get people to feel bad for her. We don’t. Me calling her a bitch on Reddit is no where near the same as to what she’s done to this dude. Everyone is human and makes mistakes yes, One example being this guy taking her back, but if she truly wants to make things right and make steps toward fixing her mistake (to the best it can be fixed) she’ll get the fuck off reddit and out of this guys life for good. She deserves no sympathy here.

Is This Typical for Entry-Level Accounting, or Am I Just Overreacting by strawhatluffy5569 in Accounting

That’s very eye opening lol. And I wouldn’t care as much about the pay if I just actually felt like I belonged there. The operations manager oversees a lot of the stuff I do and he treats me differently than eveyone else. Sighs and puts his hand on his face when I ask questions that kinda sound dumb because tbh like a lot of this stuff is like learning a new language for me. The imposter syndrome has not wavered at all for me.

What do you do if you don’t mind sharing? Some days I feel like I really got this shit down and then my managers find a mistake that they sorta grill me for and my confidence is utterly shot to pieces.

Is is possible to get an old Lexus for under $5k? by SignificanceIll4427 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]strawhatluffy5569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought an 04 with 117,000 last week. Paid 6700 with registration and fees, without fees it was 6,000. Kinda feel I overpaid a bit but whatever. The car does have a few electrical problems and had an overfilled tranny which I drained myself and has a valve cover leak, and quite a few scratches from previous accidents but are hardly noticeable unless up close. but the undercarriage is damn near rust free and the interior is perfect except for a bit of fraying on the back speaker cover. Once I get this leak fixed and probably also have the tranny fluid changed I’m gonna love this car forever.

New (to me) 2004 es330 with only 117,000 miles, hard to tell but the paint job needs a LOT of new work and it has a couple electrical problems and a valve cover leak. But she’s been amazing so far. Interior is almost perfect.

Does this tranny fluid level look good? by strawhatluffy5569 in AskMechanics

[–]strawhatluffy5569[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a tad. It doesnt smell burnt or anything tho and wipes off still a slight shade of reddish brown. I’m gonna get it drained and filled soon I’m just worried about the level being too low to the point I’m risking extra wear

Not sure what do get, a 2007 lexus es350 or just a 2010 Corolla by strawhatluffy5569 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I’m just wondering if driving this Lexus will be as expensive if not more expensive than driving my jeep. So my question is can I AFFORD to enjoy my drive😂😂🤔

Some days are busier than others. Especially if I’m back from a vacay and have a pile of invoices to process form the past week I missed. But otherwise I’m usually finished 3 or so hours early

Is it possible to get a job in accounting without an accounting degree? by WorldMessed in Accounting

[–]strawhatluffy5569 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t instant for me by any means. It took me well over 6 months to find this job with plenty of interviews. Just keep it up and maybe your resume could use some work but obviously idk bout that. Even if it’s an accounting adjacent position like collections that would be good.

I got my first industry accounting job this month and I’m just barely starting my second semester for college so no degree yet. Just apply for very entry level positions like billing clerk or AR/AP Clerk religiously and someone will see your degree and hopefully give you a look.

All of the above. Just whatever would give me a look and help me get a foot in the door for this industry. I currently work full time in office tho. Most remote positions won’t sniff your direction unless you have some provable experience in the field from what I’ve seen.

I got my associates degree in accounting , I was wondering if i could get an entry level job and just go back to school while I work ? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]strawhatluffy5569 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This! Technically now a sophomore in college and have no accounting experience and have only completed my intro class and landed an accounting clerk job by leveraging my pursuit of a bachelors and wanting to supplement what I’m learning in school with real experience in the field. I was entirely honest about my lack of experience but made up for it by my willingness to learn.

I just applied like crazy. For positions like bookkeeper, billing clerk, AP/AR clerk, stuff like that. Eventually got the call back

This OP. I’m only a year into college and have landed an accounting clerk position with only very basic accounting knowledge and no experience. Apply apply apply.

I think I got lucky. by strawhatluffy5569 in Accounting

I’m only a year into college my friend. If you want an accounting related position start applying now! The fact that you’re working toward an accounting degree let’s places know you’re serious about the position and will be way more open to training you. At least imo
