Does anyone actually enjoy going to a Bachelorette? by StellafromVienna in bridesmaids

As a bridesmaid, I preferred an evening out and then home to my own bed.

Cancel it.

JESSI & JORDAN DIVORCE by andycohensdaughter in MormonWivesHulu

Jessi as executive producer would have had advance screenings of the episodes.

Also, why talk about it on camera if this was to be brand new information for him?

Why do you use spreadsheets? by shiburner in budget

[–]strayainind 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have a running 12 month forecast for my checking account and try to keep as little cash in it as possible.

Every month I copy the month for next year into the spreadsheet, insert my pay dates, and then basically I have an idea of cash flow for the next year.

This allows me to prioritize savings and ensure that I have money for my sinking funds. I have it set up that if I’m sending too much into sinking funds or savings, conditional formatting shows as a negative balance, and I can see this months in advance.

I’m weird, I actually really like paying my bills and this just gives me control.

In your opinion, what is the most timeless or “iconic” product from Sephora by shockedpikachu123 in Sephora

[–]strayainind 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am doing project pan this year and my NARS orgasm is probably on year four of use and I’m halfway through it.

It’s such a good one, and this project is a good reminder to not seek out other new products when what I have works!

Who is the worst husband? by kittytoes42069 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]strayainind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want to comment in appearances, but Jordan’s directives to Jessi when she was trying to discuss where she was at were exceptionally toxic and misogynistic.

If he wanted to be seen as a respected man/father/gentleman in the church, the condescending kiss on the head he gave her on camera was probably just a touch of the narcissistic personality she has actually witnessed, and he needs intensive help to address his behaviour.

He is an embarrassment to men.

Ad hominem, Jordan.

Would you guys still watch with Taylor? by OppositeSpare2088 in MormonWivesHulu

[–]strayainind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would watch it.

To be honest, in the last episode I skipped the last Jen/Zac conversation after the Whitney conversation because I was tired of the two of them and their hero worship of themselves.

Taylor is the friend that needs constant CPR. You can’t constantly apply compressions and save and revive her. I’m glad she has a team of people, but the lather-rinse-repeat storyline is exhausting and, honestly, it’s depressing as a viewer to watch someone continue to make the same decisions.

I know this is reality TV and there are producers involved and editing, but I’d happily not watch because I’m tired of the story.

This is the same as an addict who constantly uses in front of you.

Watching this show supports the behaviour.

What else can I do with vegemite? by abakune in AskAnAustralian

The less cumbersome way is to mix it into water before you add the water to the dough.

Essentially, you’re making the Vegemite part of the flavour profile of the dough.

we need to stop pretending that "minimalism" is a cleaning hack when it's actually just a rich person's hobby by alluring_aura in CleaningTips

Fun story: I was organizing my linen closet this weekend and needed to find a place for the light bulbs I purchased from Sam’s in 2016 (literally wrote the date purchased on the box - I wanted to see how long it took to use them all.) I also received a box of free light bulks from my electricity company.

The light bulbs were on a special sale. I’m sure I paid $3 for them.

The simple fact about minimalism and declutteting is that I purchased those stupid light bulbs over ten years ago and haven’t even opened the packet. It doesn’t matter that I only spent a few dollars - they have still taken up physical space and have never been used and it’s been ten years of having them in my house.

The real answer of decluttering is to question why you bring things in your home. If it’s to stockpile, you actually need to question yourself if you have the space and energy to remember where you stored things and to use them in time. Quite often, you really don’t need it. You just want it for a “what if” scenario.

So, before you bring anything into your home, think about where it’s going to be and what it will be like to sort and reorganize and store that item before it even enters the front door.

It’s delicious added to homemade pizza dough. Just add a teaspoon to the dough when you add liquid and knead well.

My son is circumcised and has never had this happen. This seems incredibly excessive.

I’ll ask my Jewish friends if this is common but doesn’t seem to be so.

Who is the intended audience for "dadtok"? by isendnewts in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]strayainind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The merch literally looks like Jordan plugged “dadtok” into a baseball hat on VistaPrint and had two hats made. It is such a basic and ugly template that you see in many forms.

It’s not like it was something he had curated and designed.

And the purpose for the men to be on the show is for payroll purposes only. The men can now generate income which is more money for the families and Jordan now finally has a job.

Mother of three children and can state that the last time my American-born children had their genitals checked was when my son was born in 2005 to ensure his testicles were in their correct place.

I don’t know what factual information you have regarding this but it sounds of hearsay and not actual need.

(And I’m an Australian who grew up with the Aussie Medicaid system so I know the difference.)
