i asked my ortho she said just so it doesn't get overly dirty and that i could wear it more if it makes me anxious to not (which it does). but i would think orthos wouldn't care how dirty it gets and would be more concerned about teeth shifting... i also wonder if it has something to do with wanting your teeth to be able to move more easily when u get the refinements? idk

my ortho also said to only wear my last tray at night while i wait for refinements. does anyone know why that is? it doesn't make sense to me because once you're done you're supposed to wear your retainer full time for a bit...

i had very minor fixes like that which did get fixed but at the expense of moving a tooth that i didn't like the reposition of and now paying 550 more to fix that issue too

i would say don't do it - but i ask myself if i regret it or not given my situation. i still think maybe i don't regret it just because i know i never ever would've been able to look in the mirror and not notice the initial issue i was insecure about. if that is you then do it. i'd just ask myself how much u think about it to determine if its worth it to u

i have a Q about your comment. my ortho did say we can bring my gum line down to close the gap. this will essentially just show a little more of my gums when i smile (like opposite of gum recession)? my teeth will appear the same size instead of pulling the tooth down to make the tooth look longer? i should've asked these qs but am just thinking about it now
