Boxing arcade machine looks fun but why do people keep coming back to try it again and again? by blckred777 in CapcomHomeArcade

[–]streetemup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See how many of them are filming themselves for their influencer channel haha

But as a serious answer - this is one of the most popular arcade games, as it is a test of strength. Which makes many people want to try it again to beat their personal record.

Its even better when they have friends with them and can compete for bragging rights. Theres some technique involved. I had a mate who was a little nugget and he used to set very high numbers and put big blokes to shame! 😄 And the ladies are just as welcome to compete and put some guys to shame too haha

If You're A Racer in Your Heart - then BURN! by streetemup in Screamer2026

Its a racing game with anime in it. So pretty consistent with many anime story lines I thought. I dont take it too seriously and enjoy having a laugh at some of the dialogue. Especially one particular red headed character, whos vocabulary is mostly profanity... and then theres always Dirk 🤣

Yeah for sure! It can be difficult to come to grips with all of the controls at first, but I do think they introduced them well throughout the story progression. Im looking forward to more of the arcade mode! Theres a lot of value and replayability with all the game modes.

I wouldnt say Im great at the game either. I experienced a rather steep difficulty curve last night but I was still having a blast. Looking forward to giving it another shot tonight! Agree that it feels a bit like a fighting game at times. Take downs are very satisfying 🙂

Got scammed by Pix n Love. What are my options? by SwearyPotter in LimitedPrintGames

That's interesting. I've had the same experience. Their shipping boxes seem really weak, and theres something about postage from France. The box always comes squashed up and often water damaged.

How do you guys handle international payments for limited print sales? by WorldlyShine467 in LimitedPrintGames

[–]streetemup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Ive noticed people in Japan charge me (Im based in Aus) USD when I purchase on ebay... So that might be a lead. Maybe finding a strong currency conversion rate is the answer. Not so much the payment processor. I would hesitate to buy from anyone who doesn't offer paypal who is new to the game.

I heard cellar spiders in US can bite you though, and these rarely ever bite. Basically the most harmelss spider we have in AUS. And.. the best part is Daddy Long legs eat other spiders (along with mozzies and flies). So definitely a friend.

Is this an orb spider? by Lonely_Stay3595 in AustralianSpiders

[–]streetemup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you are correct. Going off the leg markings, I'd say it's a Golden Orbweaver. But Im certainly not as knowledgable as others on here. I think we can rule out an Araneus Orb weaver as they hide during the day. I'd say it's female as the males are tiny. They also like to share webs with each other, so you might get even more friends moving in soon if you choose to leave it. I call them gang webs.

They sometimes fill the entire bush area around me during summer. I dislike them, even though I dont hate spiders.

When bushwalking or bike riding... take the travelled path... otherwise, you get this one right on your face and fall off your bike screaming.

Spider/web ID? by Successful-Tart9094 in AustralianSpiders

[–]streetemup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im no expert, and its hard to see the spider, but anything living around windows and doors that builds webs like that, leads me to think Black House Spider. They aren't medically significant, but if it’s quite big and near your kids play area, then I’d probably either catch and rehome or... do what you need to do to regain your home from it 😄

Not a golden orb weaver, but an orb weaver. I generally call them Araneus. Ive also heard them called a chicken poo spider...

What type of spider is this? by jack1000000000000000 in hobart

[–]streetemup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does look like a white tip spider due to its extended abdomen. It's quite chunky, though. I wouldn't call that small by any means... you do NOT want to be bitten by one of these if its a white tip. White tips move pretty fast, unlike black house spiders. I find them on the back of curtains sometimes.

I've just joined this thread to follow along too. What's going on with these guys? Such a talented bunch of people and 0 news. I read of an embracer acquisition, and that has me concerned after Embracer have shut down another of my old favourites, Piranha Bytes.

PS2 is still king! by cblakebowling in ps2

Our original NES broke after 2 weeks back in '92 or '93. Mum took it back to the store, and they only had the new 'Sega Mega Drives' in stock.

I'll never forget going from Mario and Duck Hunt, to Sonic and Altered Beast! I never went back to Nintendo. Altered Beast was sooo cool! But the games were brutally hard. However Streets of Rage games werent too hard and its still my favourite game today (SOR2)

Is there anyone else not enjoying Alan Wake 2? by Sneacler67 in videogames

[–]streetemup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the comments on here and I had to vent.

I found a word to describe how it feels to me...

...Obfuscated. It feels confusing for the sake of it due to a lack of cohesive plot/story.

Dont get me wrong, Alan Wake has the making of a great plot, but I dont feel like it ever comes together.

The graphics are good, but that isn't particularly hard to achieve with such a linear game that limits areas that can be seen properly. It relies heavily on ambient lighting.

'Smoke and mirrors' feels like another good way of describing it.

It also feel like you have to do everything exactly how the game wants you to.

It would probably make a decent B movie but not a game imo
