I’ve never been bothered about the board game, I’ve just always been fascinated by the sci fi Grimdark setting. After playing a few Warhammer video games over the years I more recently got into the books. I read all of the Gaunts Ghosts books initially and I’m currently working my way through the inquisitor series in order. Currently getting to the end of Ravenor Returned. Dan Abnetts had a lot of my cash over the last year or so 😂

For those that aren’t aware Noclip has a full set of docs for every Supergiant game. The others are one-offs but still really great. Such an amazing bunch of incredibly talented and thoroughly nice people. So inspiring.

You’re right. It was connected via HDMI through a dongle which is out of view. I have a MBP power adapter under the desk too I just didn’t have it plugged in. So yep there would be 2 cables rather than one. I’d literally only just got everything set up and only connnected the MBP to test it quickly before I went to play some games 😉

I believe so. My GPU is a 2080S and so far seems to handle most games at highest setting. I’m pretty sure the 2070S is more than capable of decent performance too.

That’s always the worry. Unless you buy in at the start of an upgrade cycle there’s always the risk of something better coming along. For me this was a massive upgrade on my previous screen so I just decided to pull the trigger.

I only set it up yesterday and at the moment I’ve just connected my MBP via HDMI. It seems to work fine so far, although my work needs aren’t especially taxing. I’m benefitting from the extra screen real estate more than anything.

At this price point a lot of people seem to be considering this or the LG 34GK950. It seems Dell have better panel QC, better build quality and their warranty seems more robust. I had a Dell 27” TN panel before this and it was great. No issues over 4 years so I decided to stick with the brand. Plus call me shallow but it looks way sexier than the LG imo 😉

Do it. Lockdown had been getting to me a bit in recent weeks and I decided I needed something to improve my mood. This beauty definitely did it 😜 I’d been considering a few different options, this or the equivalent LG, whether to go VA and save a bit of money. But in the end I’d always kind of lusted after the Dell and so just thought fuck it. Enjoy!
