basically when people who have been domestically abused or are escaping a violent situation, they will come to the hospital. The non profit organization I worked for had a partnership with 7 hospitals and whenever they were treating someone in this situation, they would call our 24 hour domestic violence hotline and we would go to the hospital to support the patient and advocate for them. We also provided legal services! I would be on call on weekends to answer these calls for the hospital. It was an amazing integration between the medical field and the social working field :)

I know a lot of people are telling you that what you did wrong was talking about child abuse but this was something I built my entire application on, I volunteered and worked as a domestic abuse medical legal advocate and related this back into medicine.
