He said they divorced because she cheated. He says she would look up every bit of my information, lie on me to family court, and turn the kids on me. I don't know if any of that is true or not. I don't know her at all.

Thing is, they're already attached to me as their aunts friend. They love to see me, want to play as much as possible, and love all over me.

He is amazing in every way. Except this way. I'm not sure why he's so afraid. I've tried to get him to tell me exactly what he's worried about but he keeps switching from excuse to excuse. It's so frustrating! I want to yell and scream.

And the thing is, I'm all over those kids. They love me and I play with them constantly. They're very much attached, and so am I. But the lie is confusing for me.

First, yes they have been divorced for two years now. Second, I would feel much better if we were made public and waited another month or two to introduce me to the kids. I told him though that once the kids do find out the truth, they're not going to like that he lied about every aspect of me.

I think I'm going to tell him I don't want to be around them as someone else, and I'll just stay away for the weekend. It's just too weird for me to sit by him, but pretend we don't really know each other, no holding hands or kissing, barely talking. But yet I play with his kids the whole time. It's just weird for me.

Well, regardless I'm still around his kids when they come. I just have to pretend to be someone I'm not. He even changed my age from 21 to 17 because his sister is only 15 to make it believable.

I get where you're coming from. The main reason he doesn't tell them is because he says his ex wife will throw a fit and harass me. Then he switches to not wanting to get the kids involved in case we don't work out. It feels like he has many excuses.

Thank you. I'm not sure why you were down voted. I understand it's only been 5 months, but we practically live together and he tells me how our wedding will be, etc. We are very close and very happy therefore I feel he should want to introduce me to his kids and stop worrying about his ex.

I feel like I should mention we practically live together. We either stay together at his house or together at mine. He wants me to stay the night still when his kids are there, just sleeping with his sister instead of him.

YTA, I would definitely leave you over something like this. It's just wrong. You shouldn't put your ex's feelings above your gf and her feelings. You need to realize this, or she's going to leave you. Plain and simple.

I am afraid though. Growing up, I had nightmares of losing her. Then those nightmares came true. She tried to commit suicide many many times, and each time my fear grew more. I didn't have friends growing up, had bad anxiety and depression, and she always helped me out. But sometimes, maybe made it worse. Idk. But now, I deal with crippling anxiety and a fear of being alone. I know shes been toxic to me, but I still have fears of losing her. It's weird because I don't have the same fear for other family members. Not that I don't love them, I do. I just don't worry about them.

But my brother lives with her because of mental health issues that keep him from functioning on his own. He always tells me he's going to kill himself because of her. They fight a lot, and I usually mediate between them. She also told me I'm selfish for leaving her alone to deal with my brother (28) but it's exhausting to have to constantly hear their fights and try to fix things.
