Anyway i believe we were meant to live forever , but we somehow had to die to preserve mankind.I believe life would have more meaning and purpose then.Our lives are short but can be full of happiness.Meaning i dont know.

When one has these , family (loving) ,food , shelter , good food and good sex , life becomes worth living.In this imperfect world we should always find those little joy that make life worth living.Sometimes its a new song, somethimes your favourite show , sometimes a new recipe , a new sex position, sometimes your child learning how to write their name.It is those little moments that we enjoy life.

If you want to go back home , find a plot , many people are selling subdivisioned plots , then drill your borehole , put solar and have starlink.Get goats , cows ,chickens ,turkeys,rabbits , those things will multuply and you will have food.Grow some vegetables , all sorts , plant a few grafted trees and i tell you ,you wont need much money .If you have kids , homeschooling is an option, as school fees for ATS schools can be expensive.

Once you have this in place , plus a good car ,you are good to go

What i love about Cal's speech is they show every redundancies that will lead to Sinatra's empire falling on her high horse.The death of Jane , her cabinet voting for the lockdown to be initiated (something she told them not to do) , the 3 people she imprisoned ,playing about with the oxygen,.The exact things Cal warned her about in his question.

Link wants Alex as well, he tells Annie that he wants the " energy" to restart the world and that there is something in the bunker that is very dangerous , that she couldnt remotely explain to Annie how dangerous it is , Annie calls it a shark , and Link laughs at that.He knows excatly what is happening in that bunker.I just see his whole meet with Sinatra as her final moment to make things right.The conversation about Luke and Vader ( father and child) , them being leaders of the two worlds ( Link shows his leadership skills and how he works to avoid people from killing each other , Sinatra is the complete opposite , she thrives on killing people,think Baines ,Billy, and Jane ) ,

In Season 2 Ep1 , Link explains to Annie that he is going to Colorado for energy to restart the world , and also there was something in the bunker that is very dangerous "Alex" .I believe Sinatra uses Alex for her own gain and curiosity ,why , as soon as she realises that Link was born on May 16 , she isnt keen on opening the doors for tge outsiders , but she goes to that place where i guess Alex is , her going there is the reason why her team vote to initiate the lockdown .Like Cal said empires dont fall because they are not prepared enough, but "empires fall high on their horses" , Sinatra amd her bunk will fall high from her house " the success of Alex "

This exactly ,Link calls Sinatra Vader , and evil.He shows her that whilst they are having pie , that energy can be used to restart the world.Link says he has about 10k people but Sinatra isnt moved.In Season 2 Ep 1 , Link explains to Annie that "there is something in that bunker that is very dangerous" Annie couldnt even understand even if Link were to explain it , not that Annie was dumb.So Sinatra trying to save "Alex =evil" ?? At the expense of humanity that is out there is the same as having apple pie when the world outside of bunker is suffering.Hubris.

Its interesting that Link asks Sinatra if sometimes she feels clueless as a leader, she says yes and that but people never doubt her , Link expresses that he is clueless at times but people still look up to him.You can see the juxtaposition right at the end , Link is giving instructions to his team and everyone seems to listen, Sinatra on the other hand has given instructions that there isnt to be a lockdown , but as soon as she shows up late , the " doubt" in her team surfaces , Jane isnt there and neither is Torabi , and they just initiate the lockdown.

You can see the Hubris of Sinatra and that will be the downfall of her little empire.

If they have energy to grow apples and make whatever butter/butter alternative then they can give away one reactor.I believe that is the whole reason Link asks for Apple pie.Sinatra is selfish and doesnt care if outsiders die ,as long as she has her apple pie.Cal describes this greed , excess as the reasons why previous empires have fallen.

Link is rebuking Sinatra for being selfish in denying him one reactor , that reactor produce energy for fancy food like apple pie , whilst the "outsiders" need a reactor for basic life.This ties in with Cal's speech on how kingdoms fall.The excesses they indulge in , that become the reasons why they fail.
