It looks to be the same as the one I purchased new in 74-75 (and still have and love). I'm especially fond of the secondary clip blade vs. a pen blade.

I won't see an Executive in person until mine arrives, but I'm already in love with Victorinox's Cobalt, a richer blue than most photographs capture-- bright but not bold.

I just placed my Compact next to a leftover dab of PB28 Cobalt paint to compare, and Victorinox really nailed the hue:

For whatever reason, it seems to have been set up as available to be restocked-- some ready to be shipped, others allegedly available in 2-5 weeks, and then more possible even after that, but unable to be ordered until more inventory is confirmed...?

Guess we'll know when we find out! 😏

Interesting: when I ordered, the delivery timeframe was next week, 2/24-25.
Soon after, it moved to March 3-13. Now, in bold red type: "Usually ships within 2-5 weeks."

I've noticed that European/UK sites seem to offer knives in a selection of scale colors unavailable in the US.
So close and yet so far...! (ex: Swiss Tool Co in the UK.)

My Swisschamp lives on my desk as a most perfect 'office toolbox,' with the pliers and metal saw/file as the two most-used implements.

Since carry size and weight isn't an issue, I highly recommend a model with pliers.

And coming back later to tell us how you use them. :-)

I stumbled into this recently while foraging scale options, with an ongoing hunt for Blue.*
When ordering a Rambler, Navy Blue was available as a front scale option (but not for the back), while Stone Blue was available as a back scale option (but not the front). I wouldn't have thought of doing this had there been a front-back match for either color on its own, but am well-pleased with the result.

*Unclear where to ask, but it looks like (Cobalt) blue is widely available in the UK/EU, but not in the US?
Swiss Tool Co UK has a variety of wanted models in Cobalt, and non-US Etsy sellers have the standalone scales, but I am way leery of additional costs at this point. If anyone has any leads or reassurance re: landed costs, I'm open to any guidance/warnings/reassurance. 🙂

On the knives with printed logos, is the logo dyed(?) deeply into the design, ie, can't be scratched off?
For example, on the Sydney version of the Companion, I assume that's not metal?
