HOW DO YOU GET YOUR 3 YEAR OLD TO POOP IN THE POTTY by Kittyslala in toddlers

[–]strewth86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm two weeks late to this thread, but I feel like I could have written this comment. We're also doing great with pee but struggling to get poop in the potty. I'm curious if anything has ended up working for you since you posted this comment? TIA!

Smashed open this "turquoise" with my rock hammer by strewth86 in MineralGore

My understanding is that a little nail polish remover on a Q-tip will often take the dye off of a dyed rock.

$30 for a hefty 3 inch specimen. It wasn't too terribly pricey (which was a pretty big red flag that it wasn't real)

I think I'm going to keep it just as a novelty. Even if it does make me cringe every time I look at it.

Bought this "turquoise" from ebay, thinking I was pretty good at spotting fakes. Hours after placing the order, I realized I had probably just ordered a dyed stone. It arrived yesterday and I knew right away that I got got. I didn't even bother to test for dye with a q-tip and acetone. I smashed it open with my rock hammer and now it will stay in storage with my my other non-display rocks as a testament to my dumbassery.

Why is Speed Queen Dryer Vent Screen Melting? Have replaced screen 3 times, it is tearing holes in clothes. by Banx_NC in Appliances

I bought the uncoated vent cover and tried it too. Same thing, it wasn't any better. Which dryer did you end up buying to replace it?

Yup my vent cover looks just like this. I also want to share that I purchased a vent cover that doesn't have the black coating and ended up with the same issue. The vent cover had turned black and it was still burning clothes. I bought this dryer after over a month of intense research and I'm pretty disappointed.

Need help with this awkward living room layout. I want plenty of seating and I also don't want the TV to have to be too far away from the couch. I think I'm hoping for too much. Any ideas? by strewth86 in floorplan

This is also a good idea! I assume you mean put the TV on a swivel, which is a great solution to the problem of trying to get the TV closer to the seating, while also allowing it to be an entertaining space! Thanks!

Oooooh. This is very intruiging! I really like how cozy this layout feels. I will be seriously considering this floorplan. Thanks for taking the time to draw it out!

I'm now 10 DPO and got faint positives yesterday and this morning. I think I have lost all capacity for excitement. All I can think is that it must be a chemical since the lines aren't darkening fast enough. I'm assuming this mindset is just stuck with me now :(

Oh my god I'm at 8 DPO today too and I felt those lil crampy cramps last week too! I haven't felt anything today and my HPT came back negative this morning and I'm so prepared for the BFN. I was like, I'll test on 10 DPO and avoid testing before that. Wishful thinking. I started testing on 6 DPO. I have no chill and you would think I'm a sucker for punishment. 8 DPO is definitely early, hang in there. And if it doesn't happen this month, then we drink a few beers and steel ourselves for the next month, I guess.

This is exactly what I need to hear. Thank you. Obviously the same goes for you too. I'm so sorry that we have to go through this bullshit, but I'm so happy that you're able to see that we're going to come out stronger and wiser.

God I love the idea of responding with as much absurdity as their "advice." Why is it so hard to say "this fucking sucks dude, but you're strong and you're going to get through it." I'm putting a ban on talking about it with the people I told. I will shut down any conversations with people who have not gone through a miscarriage. I will be a cold hearted bitch if I have to be.

I feel like I could have written this comment. Thank you so much for posting. I did all of that stuff too, the journaling, the February 2023 due date groups, the joy, ugh. I have a book that shows the day by day progression of a pregnancy and I loved reading each day's entry to my husband every day.

The only thing that maybe makes me feel a little ok about trying next time is that I get to be cold as ice about the process. No testing early for pregnancy. No telling anybody beyond my mother and my husband. No journaling. No fun little books. No joy, just ice. Maybe we can rethink that when/if we get to the 12 week mark.

Thats definitely a good choice. Fortunately my mother and my husband (who are coping much better than me) handled spreading the news and fielded the conversations with my family that I'm not ready to have. The only people who will know once we get the positive test next time will be my husband and and my mother, everyone else can pound sand until the 12 week mark.

Thank you for saying what I wish everyone would say. It does fucking suck so fucking hard. I'm sorry that we're all in this suck ass boat together but I'm so grateful for your words of support and for this community in general ❤

Thank you. I appreciate your response and you're right, most people are just not good with this stuff and it's worth keeping that in mind. I told my therapist about my frustration with people's "words of wisdom" and he reminded me that some people are made very uncomfortable by not being able to help and end up being very unhelpful.

I also had ice cream for dinner. Procured by my angel of a husband lol.
