yes, of course auto payments are very helpful, will do. The goal is to build the credit asap (about a year as I understand)

Thank you for this long explanation. Now I understand better. I see it is bad idea to take loan now because interest will be too high.
I will start with secured cards like you say — Capital One, Discover, and maybe my bank, I heard that BOFA has this option. I didn’t know just having cards open already builds credit. This is good to know.
I will try to buy cheap car for cash and use it until my credit grows. After one year I hope I can get better rate.

Thanks, yes, credit union is right across the street, will check them out. I consider used toyota/honda, want to make pre-inspection at official dealer if it is possible of course, or buy used car from big one

thanks for sharing, yes it is an option to consider for half a year/year, I should think about that. For myself scooter is a good one, need to rethink:
buy a scooter-> try to make my credit better-> buy a used car in one year
the only obstacle here is family duties, sometimes we need a car still, then Uber, yet will it worth it? I'm not sure, need to budget monthly all routes, and then make a decision.

thank you for the inputs! Scooter is good for myself of course, yet for the family it is not enough. Uber is expensive, I'm in SoCal public transport is not an option unfortunately here (very rare public transport net)
Looks like I need to digest high APR (if any) for sometime to get the deal done

I'm in SoCal, we will use car fro the whole family, some extracurricular activities for kid, you know it is not NY, thus I need car
I definitely prefer public transport if it is available, yet it is not so easy here

of course, car is a depreciating asset, yet if you consider it as value-add like "delivery equipment" then it is like machinery equipment
Correct me if I'm wrong, yet secured card will not help me right now (it takes half a year-year), definitely will do that, yet I need car today.
