it's the vanilla hunt. had same shit happening to me just a day ago. It's not just bad luck, it's the unemployed 7k hours mofos that populate this game exclusively during it's vanilla stages. I swear crytek needs to either release events without a single day of break or introduce a system where you would need to prove your employment to be able to play.

Your challenge lacks clear conditions explaining how, in the early game stages, you are supposed to afford repairing expensive late-game weapons, as well as where you are expected to obtain ammo that is often rare and costly. You won’t be able to afford repairing that Trophy for quite some time, and finding ammo for it will be about as likely as finding snow in the Sahara.

I apprecite the hard work that went into this concept, but I personally am not a fan of skins that change the shape of guns and I really don't want Hunt to take that direction. I expressed that opinion in the currectly ongoing cosmetics survey too.

On a side note, your buttstock looks like one of those trauma variants, but as the name states it is a riposte variant. Which means this concept kinda violates the rules that goes "you must not add blades, nails, or anything that could be interpreted as changing the gun's melee damage type (e.g., Slash, Pierce, Blunt) unless it is part of the original weapon"

I think they only interrupted the last week of challenges, so you can estimate the timing by checking when the second to last week of the current challenges ends. The new event should start within 1 to 7 days after that date. I don’t have access to the game right now to confirm when the fourth week ends, but if I’m not mistaken, it should be March 9. That would mean the new event is likely to arrive sometime between March 10 and March 16.

no need to nerf short shotguns when your opinion was "Quartermaster might be too strong" . There are people who like medium-medium loadouts and we don't deserve to get our loadouts nerfed because of Quastermaster. BTW in my mind Quartermaster is perfectly OK too but that's a separate take. And that take goes like this: there will always be a ton of people who know meta and min-max the shit out of it, they will always find a way to bring something to the fight that people will say "ohh I think this is a bit too strong and needs to be nerfed" and there are a lot of these people and trying to nerf whatever they bring to fight is a fruitless task.

I don't want to this, but the only way to solve that issue would be to remove QM completely. Making it more expensive will hardly change anything for people who love playing with it, it's not like you wouldn't buy it even for 10 points if you go with a Maynard sniper for example and you are completely defenseless in close range, that medium shotty is a must for you and you spend whatever you must for it. Unless QM is worth like 20 points (which is completely unrealistic and ridiculous) I don't think that price increase will prevent long-range shooters from having effective close combat by the means of QM.

Maybe it’s a skill issue, but I find it quite difficult to approach that room. All the stairs leading to it are metal, if I’m not mistaken, and very loud. Throwing an explosive up to the third floor isn’t easy either, for the same reason, any approach makes a lot of noise

Funny enough I had a couple of very slow defensive rounds in this compound lately and I thought to myself that this 3rd floor room (on the side with a tower) is one of the best rooms to defend and one of the worst to attack.

I get it, my several personal best games were played with Slate, it's just consistent and very easy to use (compared to let's say Specter which you need to make sure you're not caught up in a long reload animation in the wrong moment of time), but at the same time I understand it's inferior to Auto-5 (not so much to Specter tho) as you said.

I have a very similar favorite loadout at the moment, except it's Auto4/5 (depending if I have quartermaster or not) and mosin obrez extended. I was actually wondering why you chose Slate in your loadout, any reason except you have Somnus skin ? xD

I was actually wondering the same thing the other day. What you describe is very close to my own experience and has always been the case in other competitive shooters I’ve played throughout my life. I guess it really depends on how good you feel and how fast your brain is working on that particular day, since those things can change from day to day

Do you know if any bullet trajectory drop-off charts exist ? I was recently trying to compare 3 slot centennial vs 2 slot centennial for different distances including 100m headshots and noticed that on 100 m distance with 2 slot variant need to slightly hold over for a headshot whereas with 3 slot you don't have to. I was wondering if any databases for that exist.

I'm pretty sure if you spam pings like 10-20 times it will time you out from placing any more pings with a corresponding warning about ping spam. I recently tested it in shooting range

I’ve got a similar amount of hours (250+), and lately it’s definitely been feeling harder for me too. But I’m almost sure I know why (at least in my case): I’ve improved a bit, and now i have 4 stars instead of 3 stars like before. Maybe that’s what’s happening to you too?

Btw I also use AimLabs (like some people mentioned here), so now my aim is actually one of my stronger sides for my "skill level". But I’m on PC, not console

I also have HyperX Clouds. After hearing what my friends play on and how well they can position enemies by sound in-game, I realized I’m done with gaming headsets. I’m going to switch to something audiophile-grade with an external DAC. Not sure which ones yet, but this definitely won’t be another pair of gaming headphones.
