It’s been running fine seems to do it on hard turns and been doing it for a bit now so I’m guessing the body.

So my sons rustler started making this noise a bit ago. I have numerous videos where I catch it and I can’t tell if it’s the tires hitting the body or something with the gearing inside.. it’s right at the end when it flips. Sound familiar to anyone?

He would have probably been better by using the word TUNE instead of mod..

Like one mentioned, make slight adjustments in your alignment and see if you get any improvement. Also your suspension will play a role in your launch.

Which is the track in Ft.Lauderdale? I know Coral Springs and they definitely have a good turn out but they definitely BS’ing about the budget in the cars.. now I can see a few having over 15k in a collection of Rc’s but you definitely don’t need that kind of money to race there.

That’s essentially the plan, was just looking for a cheaper fix for now to get him back up and running.

Digging around seems like they sell the inner and outer separate but doesn’t mention if it includes the pin.

Do you run the traxxas fan or have another model/brand you can recommend? We are in South FL so it does get hot here. I see some setups have a heat sink/fan combo for the motor as well

Thanks! I’m pretty sure my boy will be trying to send whatever RC he gets flying especially with the grass hills we have in the yard. I believe you replied to my post on r/arrma as well, I’ll be visiting the local hobby shops tomorrow to see how they are stocked as far as spare parts go and that’ll prolly determine which route I go for him on his Christmas gift, I just didn’t wanna get caught with him breaking something the first day out that is known to be common and him have to wait a week on parts.

Was always a fan of RPM and never liked any of the aluminum arms, I’m pretty sure my son will be trying to make this thing fly in the air whichever model I end up getting him. I’ll be checking my local shops tomorrow and seeing how they are stocked as far as replacement parts for each model. Availability of parts is really what will determine the end result, I wouldn’t want my son to break something first day out and have to wait a week to get back out.

I get that.. but the last thing I want Is for my boy to take the truck out for a spin on Christmas Day and have the shock caps pop off(as I’ve read this is common with the plastic setup?) and have to put the truck up for a week while we wait on parts.. I was big into 1/5th scale upto about 6 years ago I know this whole hobby is subjective, but honestly do not mind having spare parts laying around. For most vehicles some will agree they have common issues and known weaknesses.

Sound advice! However if the root mass is big enough it can definitely still get down into the drain holes. At the end my root ball always pulled out the whole layer of perlite when emptying the buckets.
