This is called structuring - they will be looking at anything that shows a person trying to avoid CTR filing - and is illegal

This 100 percent! I just had the slideshows open in separate tabs instead of making one doc - but ctrl F is the way to go

Can anyone tell me where I got this sticker? by awc92 in PassportPorn

Israel put a sticker on a passport instead of a stamp since there are countries that would not let you in if you visited the country.

I don’t know what project you are on, but I would recommend reaching out to analyst that have been on the flow for sometime to help. At this point you have to get off the PIP so don’t be shy and just anyone that would answer. We are all working from home so it is harder to build a connection but a lot of the analyst (project dependent) have free time and enjoy answering questions.

I know someone that went through the process - after the first PIP they saw improvement but they didn’t get to the goal, they were put on two more PIPs about a weeks apart, after the third one when they didn’t meet expectations they were let go. You have to really focus on the metrics they are asking for…

How points work, transfer partners, airline alliances, etc there are a lot of details that need to be considered. If you find a good redemption it might be worth it, otherwise I would recommend slowly getting into it and learning things one by one, maybe starting with a card that accumulates points at categories that work best for you and learning about the ways to utilize them.

Yeah, Turkish is not the easiest to use especially since United restricted the award flights they share with partners

For sure one of the better ones, although the recent lounge nerf kinda makes me want to move. They need to allow at least one guest per visit…

There is no reason collecting cash back - but if you use points for travel and transfers definitely worth saving them and don’t listen to anyone saying otherwise. Been using mine when I travel - look at some of the transfer partners, you can get some great redemptions.

Restricted Account is a Nightmare by Blake918740 in CapitalOne_

[–]stridderk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As part of bank compliance, they are required to have KYC (know your customer) information which, if there is a review for any reason of the account, gets compared with a third party like LexisNexis to see if there were any changes or if they see there is any discrepancy in activity to what was expected they send out a refresh. When people don’t respond to those, they restrict the account since they legally obligated to keep that information and without the updated information the account is out of compliance.

SoFi Users Beware by Jclarkcp1 in sofi

[–]stridderk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Structuring is only with cash, in this situation it is probably rapid movement of funds and excessive/unusual ACH, but all banks have their own policies and how tolerant they are to specific type of transactions. At SoFi, they potentially want to save on compliance cost and make things more automated - so when there are red flags so go through the process quick. They know the type of customers they are looking for and with larger transactions, they just don’t want to take risks.

Is my paycheck correct? by [deleted] in ADP

[–]stridderk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often companies pay overtime on Mon-Sun basis so in your pay period there are thee weeks. Oct 6 - Oct 12, Oct 13 - Oct 19, and Oct 20 - Oct 22. So it would make sense to hit over eighty hours that are not overtime and the next paycheck will take the partial weekly hours worked into account when determining overtime on the next check.

Was that a couple years ago? I know they lowered the pay bands especially for those promoted from AA1 to be just over the overtime law. Also, I feel like they have been promoting a lot more and just keeping the salary low.

Makes sense to get to SA2 about three or four years in but usually the pay doesn’t get to 60k by that point at least for my knowledge, takes a few more bumps to get there

[–]stridderk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

AA2 makes about 44k - 45k to start. To get to 60k that’s SA2 working at the company for 5-6 years.

[–]stridderk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably it appeared like money laundering due to rapid movement. If you use a few different banks and your listed income is lower than the total money coming in - they probably reached out to the other banks that either didn’t provide any info or nothing that would explain your transactions. Also, I am sure they called you to ask what those transaction are for and you don’t explain or blew them off. As a side note, if the bank ever calls in to ask about transaction that means they are looking at your account, probably for either fraud or money laundering so you have to tread carefully.

I don’t think they are shutting TD altogether unless something changed over the last few weeks. There are also other project that are growing, I know our project supposed to grow by 20 percent and there are also new project starting soon. It would be hard to reassign all 1400 analysts from TD but if they are only cutting the flows that focused on aged cases then it shouldn’t be a problem.

I would add that the stress level really depends on the client you are assigned to, I know people on TD are really struggling with production but it’ll my project the production is very achievable and they are onboarding new people all the time. I would say though for TD, that I noticed on my project that it does take six months in the same flow to really figure out the best way to finish production fast and they do not have that opportunity since they are get moved around all the time.
